According to China Customs Data in the first quarter, in 2012 1~3, China's clothing exports grew by 4.71% over the same period last year, down 13.69 percentage points from the same period last year, and the growth rate dropped by 74.4%.
Shang Pu consulting light industry analyst pointed out: in the first quarter of 2012, the slowdown of the garment industry is facing three difficult problems, namely, high inventory, low export and lagging behind in brand building.
"High inventory" is a common problem facing the apparel industry.
Especially in 2012, due to the impact of climate, some spring products were backlog and sales were poor.
And the European debt crisis, as the main body of the international market, the EU's recovery is weak, which restricts the demand for China's textile and clothing products.
At present, the garment industry in China mainly depends on processing and manufacturing. In the process of gradually increasing the added value of products, the popularity has become an urgent goal.
According to the "2012-2016 year analysis and investment prospect forecast report of China's functional clothing industry" released by Shang Pu consulting, China's garment industry should improve R & D design level, deepen brand building, increase technology application, develop capital operation and innovate marketing mode, so as to realize the overall pformation and upgrading of the industry.
In the future, the development of China's garment industry presents three major trends: first, after many years of rapid development, it has entered the adjustment period, especially the export growth rate has been slow, the garment industry profit distribution pattern will further improve; two, the industry has entered the intensive development stage; three, the pace of industrial internationalization is accelerating.
