    Its anti fouling ability is strong and recyclable. It is widely used in curtains, bedding mats, mosquito nets, sofa covers, carpets, tablecloths, toys, automotive interior decorations and so on. PBT polyester fiber is also known as "new carpet material".

    PBT is a polymer made from high purity terephthalic acid (PTA) and 1,4- butanediol esterified and condensed.

    The molecular structure of PBT fiber has the same aromatic ring as polyester and the longer methylene segment which is the same as nylon. Therefore, it has excellent mechanical properties of polyester and nylon's softness and friction resistance.

    It can be dyed and dyed better than polyester and nylon. It can be directly dyed at ambient pressure with disperse dyes without carrier and dyed with bright color, good color fastness and good chlorine resistance.

    PBT has high rigidity and excellent fluffiness and curl value.

    PBT has high surface hardness and excellent shape retention under wet condition.


    The main chain structure of PBT has a longer methylene segment, so its vitrification temperature and melting point are lower than that of PET.     The critical surface tension of PBT is low, so its anti fouling ability is strong.


    The young's modulus of PBT is lower than that of PET, similar to PA, so its fiber and products are soft and the fibers are easy to curl.

    PBT has good durability, dimensional stability and elasticity.

    PBT fiber and its products are soft, hygroscopicity, wear resistance and fiber curl. They have excellent elasticity and compression elasticity, and their elastic recovery rate is better than polyester.

    Under dry and wet conditions, both of them have special elasticity, and the elasticity is not affected by the ambient temperature. The price is far lower than that of spandex fiber.


    PBT fiber has good chemical resistance, light fastness and heat resistance.

    Under high temperature and long time sunlight, the intensity of PBT changed little.

After the breakthrough of PTT polyester synthesis technology in the company, the cost of the PTT polyester product is 15000~16000 yuan / ton, which is significantly lower than the current price of DuPont Co 21500 yuan / ton.

    This makes the price of PTT polyester fiber fall sharply at the same time, and greatly opens up the use field of PTT fiber. The enterprise and China's chemical fiber industry have gained great competitiveness in the field of PTT polyester fiber.

    PTT and PBT are different in weaving.


    Weaving of high quality PTT memory fabrics is usually done by air jet loom waxing and weaving.

    During the weaving process, the tension fluctuation of the spindle position of the double twister is strictly controlled so as to prevent the PTT polyester fiber from stretching under the action of the processing tension.

    During the course of twisting, attention should be paid to the difference of heating temperature between inner and outer layers.

    During the warping process, tension should be controlled to avoid uneven tension, resulting in uneven dyeing caused by excessive stretching.

    The sizing process is based on low temperature, low tension sizing, low temperature slow drying, and strict control of slurry and drying temperature.


    PTT fabrics need to be pre designed to minimize the problems such as willow, weft, blister and so on, so as to ensure the smoothness of fabrics.

    Wet heat finishing usually uses overflow dyeing machine to enhance soaping and wax removal to avoid dyeing.


    Because the proportion of the two component fibers of different manufacturers is different from that of the components, the two component fibers should be selected and woven.

    The elastic design matches the style requirement of the fabric.

    In the production process, we should give full consideration to the rule of fiber organization and warp density. The fabric finishing should keep the PTT components of the two components to shrink sufficiently, and make the yarn and fabric form a bulky structure, and reduce the tension of the fabric finishing process as far as possible.


    PBT polyester fiber can be produced by the original textile processing equipment. Weft elastic fabric needs wide loom.


    In order to be able to use PBT fibers in warp direction, sizing requires relatively low tension to fully accommodate meridional elasticity.

    It can be used as elastic yarn directly when knitting.

    PBT high elastic fabric can be made by using double rib knitting method with proper stitch density and yarn count. The length and tension of coil should be optimized in weaving process.


    PBT polyester fabric can be dyed with disperse dyes.

    The glass pition temperature of PBT is relatively low and can be dyed at atmospheric pressure.

    In order to obtain high elastic fabric, heat treatment of PBT fabric is required at the calibration temperature, and the fabric is finalized at a temperature below or equal to the preheating temperature.

    When the size of the fabric is fixed, the tension applied to the fabric must be controlled.
