    Shoe Design

    1, what is the six point design?

    Based on the principle that we can not violate the manufacturing method and ergonomics, we can find out a set of design rules, trying to find out a common benchmark for shoes and boots. The common reference point is the so-called "six point design", which is as follows: opening points: for the interface between the toe and shoe, or the dividing point with the eye piece, or for the starting point of the tongue, the choice is that the front of the point is the three degree space of the toe and the decision point for the two degree space of the shoe.

    The design must take account of the discomfort caused by avoiding the bending of the forefoot, and at the same time, it is also necessary to consider the possibility of drawing last.

    2. Pitch point: the vertical line at the opening point and the center line of the last back. The location of the point depends on the change of the shoe type, and there is no absolute value.

    Heel height point: located in the rear heel centerline, its location is decided by the height of the shoe boot, which is mainly to stabilize the calcaneus after the foot, so as to avoid slipping when wearing, so it should not be too low.

    The length of the shoe mouth: the length of the shoe mouth, usually from the height of the top of the instep to the height of the heel, and the length of the shoe is slightly different from that of the designed shoe, for example, the roller of the golf shoe is shorter than that of the tennis shoes, because the jumping action of the basketball shoes is more, and the short rolling mouth helps to stabilize the shoes, so that they are not easy to fall off, while the tennis shoes have a longer roll mouth, because the tennis sports have more opportunities for stepping, and the low binding force of the long roller can reduce the discomfort and fatigue.

    Ankle height: located on the vertical line of the ankle bone, its height depends on the height of the designed cylinder, but one principle must be far from the lower edge of the ankle to avoid frothing when wearing.

    If the middle and high tube are designed, the middle ankle should be covered.

    The highest point of shoe mouth: the vertical line between the length of the shoe and the center line of the last back, the position of the shoe depends on the type of shoe designed. The main function of the shoe is that the shoe can wrap the instep back. The choice of this sport shoes is the majority. The design of men's shoes and women's shoes is usually omitted.

    2, the six point design of sports shoes: according to the shape of sports shoes, its components include shoe upper body, shoe tongue, shoe eye piece, shoe eye, rear guard piece, toe piece, shoe mouth, front lining, rear lining and other related side pieces.

    And the range of sports shoes is very wide. For example, tennis shoes, basketball shoes, volleyball shoes, racing shoes and all kinds of professional sports shoes, because each type of sports shoes has different properties and functions, the shape of their upper or lower shoes is more or less different, but we can still find out the design rules according to their functional needs. The design principles are still based on the six point design, and the percentage ratio depends on the designer's own experience according to the actual experience.

    Take men's sports shoes as an example. Its last length is 272mm, its foot is 9.75 "and its length is 302mm.

    (a) heel height: position: the heel of the foot is on the centerline, which must be higher than the heel bone.

    Elements: the design is to set the heel height limit of the shoe so as to really stabilize the heel of the foot.

    There are three design methods: flat, single peak and Shuangfeng style.

    Among them, the bottom position of Shuangfeng design method is the single peak type, mainly avoiding the bending position of heel, so as to avoid wearing uncomfortable.

    The semi high requirement is the same as above, or higher than the bending point.

    Also called the middle bottom length is the connection between the center point of the bottom of the last bottom and the central point at the end.

    The length of the shoe upper is to deduct the length of the hanging side from the tip of the toe to the most convex position of the heel.

    The length of the upper is about 30mm, while the 8# is 302mm for the men's shoes. The heel height is usually 1/5 to 1/4 positions of the upper shoe, that is, the flat height is about 72,5mm, and the ear type is about 78.5mm. This is the reference position, not absolute.

    (b) ankle height: the length of the upper is 16% to 20%.

    Position: the length of the last bottom is approximately 1/4 at the back end.

    Elements: the design principle can be lower than the 10-15mm below the ankle bone. This is a low system design. If the design is semi high or high, it is necessary to cover the ankles, otherwise it will wear bubbles easily.

    (c) the length of the shoe mouth: 40-45% for the foot: location from the highest point of the last back to the heel height (at the height of the flat or ear type as the measuring point).

    Its length is about 110mm to 130mm.

    Elements: the design principle is based on the principle that the outer part of the foot can wrap the foot of the foot or the lower end of the leg bone, and the length is different from that of the design shoe type.

    For example, the design of basketball shoes is due to many jumping movements, so the design or the long design of small shoes can be used to wrap the leg bone.

    Football shoes should be small because they kick more.

    For example, tennis shoes should be increased because of their stride size and shoes should be increased. Jogging shoes should be relaxed and comfortable, and shoes should be increased.

    (d) the highest point on the back of the shoe last: (1) position: from the intersection point between the shoe length line and the back center line, a straight line that is perpendicular to the center line of the last back, and then take 90mm to 100mm along the vertical line from the bottom of the last line.

    (E) opening length point: position: from the last back center line, from the tip of the toe to an appropriate position, depending on the type of shoe type, the shoe length is about 15% to 30% or 35%.

    Part 2: this point is the dividing point between the toe and the waist of the shoe. The former is a three degree space, and the latter has two dimensions, that is, the position of the point should avoid the bending point of the front foot and the principle of easy to pull last.

    (f) opening spacing point: position: vertical line on the opening point and the center line of the last back, and the location of the point depends on the type of shoe designed.

    Requirements: usually, this point is more restricted than inorganic energy, only for the convenience of modeling.

    3, six point design and modeling drawing: the purpose of the six point design is mainly to combine with the skeleton structure of human feet. The decision of points must conform to the functions of ergonomics and sports, such as the position of joints or the factors of turning points, which are enough to affect the comfort and movement function of a pair of shoes. When considering their own style in drawing, they should also consider whether they conform to the six point design rule.
