Hangzhou Women'S Wear Is Developing Rapidly.
Hangzhou as China Women's wear A large number of creative, cultural, and conforming brands have sprung up in the brand cluster of industrial representation. The market has performed well and has played a role of demonstration and guidance in China. On the recently held summit of China's growing women's wear brand promotion, the reporter interviewed the Hangzhou government how to guide Hangzhou women's clothing from manufacturing to intelligent manufacturing, and interviewed Liu Xiaoming, Deputy Secretary General of Hangzhou Municipal People's government.
Reporter: Hangzhou Thanks to the reputation of the silk house, it has achieved rapid development of Hangzhou silk dress in recent years on the basis of strong industrial foundation and loud exhibition brand. What are the stages of development of silk dress in Hangzhou?
Liu Xiaoming: I personally think that it can be divided into three stages. First, in the 80s of last century, we were concerned about the output and quality of silk. The proportion of clothing in the whole industry was very small. The second stage was in the 90s of last century. At that time, we focused on the output and quality of silk fabrics. The third stage after entering the new century, we began to pay attention to the design, research and development, standards, display and sales of women's clothing brand. If we were to win the Silk Market in the 80s of last century, today we are going to implement the brand strategy of silk dress, and win the design, standard, research and development, display and sale.
Reporter: by contrast, Hangzhou is a very characteristic city, especially silk. Can we focus on the work done by the government in promoting the development of silk and women's clothing?
Liu Xiaoming: since the beginning of the new century, the Hangzhou municipal government has attached great importance to the development of silk and women's clothing. Each year, a special fund of twenty million yuan is set up to finance the development of Hangzhou's silk dress industry. In 2007, there were 2430 textile and garment industries above Designated Size and 321 thousand employees in Hangzhou. The sales value reached 162 billion 837 million yuan, an increase of 24.94% over the same period last year, accounting for 19.85% of the total sales value of the city's above scale. The clothing industry achieved a total sales value of 23 billion 457 million yuan, and the sum of profits and taxes was 1 billion 680 million yuan, representing an increase of 18.59% and 15.47% respectively over the same period last year. It can also be said that nowadays Hangzhou's silk and women's wear has become a characteristic industry in Hangzhou.
Reporter: what are the highlights in the transformation and development of Hangzhou women's clothing? What are the important roles played by the Hangzhou municipal government in the process of promoting the clothing brand?
Liu Xiaoming There are five highlights in the transformation and development of Hangzhou women's clothing. The first is the gradual formation of our industrial base. After so many years of accumulation and development, our silk and women's clothing industry has a number of influential bases at home and abroad, such as the Xiaoshan women's wear industrial area. We have also set up some professional R & D institutions, public service centers and popular color publishing centers. We should say that the scale of the industrial base has initially taken shape.
Second, the atmosphere of industrial development is more intense. Since 2001, Hangzhou has organized the silk and women's clothing enterprises in Hangzhou in the name of the government to participate in the China International Clothing and accessories fair. This is the largest lineup in all the participating cities. At the same time, we also organized the fashion festival in Hongkong and some professional exhibitions abroad. We have preliminarily established and selected the top ten silk dress enterprises, the ten silk dress brands and the top ten ladies' designers. At the same time, it provides financing services for the silk dress enterprises for the SME development fund, and forms an atmosphere to encourage the development of silk dress. We have held the China International Silk Fair and the China International Women's Wear Exhibition for many years. For the four consecutive year, the two exhibitions will be held in Europe, Asia and Southeast Asia. This year, we will also hold a series of investment promotion activities in Russia, Dubai and the United Arab Emirates to expand its influence overseas.
Third, the industrial brand is gradually starting. In recent years, Hangzhou has vigorously implemented the brand driving strategy and constantly accelerated the upgrading of the silk dress industry. After a wide range of solicitation, silk and women's clothing brand logo was officially born last year. By the end of 2007, the clothing industry in Hangzhou had 4 well-known trademarks in China, 4 new Chinese brands and 3 famous trademarks.
Fourth, accelerate the accumulation of industrial talents. Since last year, we launched the "China outstanding women's designer discovery program". We selected six athletes by way of the outstanding women's designer Grand Prix, and sent 4 million from the government to overseas for long-term training. We plan to complete this discovery plan in ten years. Last year, the Hangzhou municipal government also established a strategic partnership with the French High Fashion Association and signed an agreement to promote Hangzhou's women's clothing to the forefront of international fashion, to internationalize and integrate the world fashion trend.
The fifth is industrial returns. The important content of the development of Hangzhou silk dress industry is to build a comprehensive quality city based on Hangzhou's urban development goals. Enterprises are a very important part of social and economic activities. Only harmonious and orderly society can ensure the better development of enterprises. Women's entrepreneurs in Hangzhou are an important force in the development of silk dress in Hangzhou. As the social class that got rich first, they are enjoying the government's preferential policies while actively paying back to society, taking the social responsibility and constantly establishing the good image of Hangzhou silk dress enterprisers.
Reporter: 2008 is a very important year. The impact of RMB appreciation, land factors, and price rise of raw materials and other macro economic impacts inevitably result in a new impact on our industry. In the face of this situation, what actions will the Hangzhou municipal government take to guide the development of clothing brands?
Liu Xiaoming: Hangzhou municipal Party committee and municipal government will continue to adhere to the principle of government leading and market allocation, give support to the development of women's clothing in Hangzhou, help solve the export tax rebate and other problems, and prepare the winter jacket for Hangzhou's silk dress enterprises. In the future, the municipal government will further integrate the resources of Hangzhou silk and women's clothing to enhance the brand of Hangzhou silk and women's clothing. We will further implement the brand strategy and talent strategy, and strive to achieve a sustained, healthy, stable and harmonious development of Hangzhou silk dress industry in the aspect of improving the industrial environment, promoting industrial development, giving full play to the role of market mechanism and implementing the three forces.
Specifically, we will continue to build Hangzhou's silk and women's clothing strategy from five aspects. First, we should continue to improve our awareness of nurturing, planning and building industries. We will continue to give full play to the enthusiasm of various government departments, integrate departments, governments, funds, talents and other resources, increase the brand promotion of the main body of the industry, and guide and promote enterprises to acquire the honor of Chinese famous brand, China famous trademark, national inspection free product and Chinese time-honored brand, so as to enhance the honor of the brand.
