Chongqing Textile Industry Accelerates Development, Transformation And Upgrading

Chongqing Textile Industry Federation is composed of Chongqing Three Gorges Technology Textile Co., Ltd. and Chongqing 35333 Printing and Dyeing Co., Ltd clothing Ten textile and clothing enterprises, industry associations and colleges and universities from Chongqing, including the General Factory Co., Ltd., Chongqing Garment Industry Association, Chongqing Federation of Industry and Commerce (General Chamber of Commerce) Light Textile and Clothing Chamber of Commerce, initiated the preparation, and in July 2013, the Chongqing Civil Affairs Bureau officially approved the establishment and registration of the Federation.

At present, there are more than 3800 textile and clothing enterprises of various types in the city, with more than 200000 employees and a sales revenue of 46 billion yuan. Among them, the annual output of various types of clothing is about 250 million pieces, with a sales revenue of more than 25 billion yuan. A number of brands with certain influence in the national market, such as Jinkoala and Dream Poetry, have emerged.

At the same time, the textile and clothing industry in Chongqing has some problems, such as small total scale, low agglomeration, imperfect supporting facilities, and weak brand influence. The establishment of Chongqing Textile Industry Federation aims to solve the problems existing in Chongqing's textile and clothing industry, promote the growth of Chongqing's textile and clothing industry, improve the level of industry management and service, and accelerate the development, transformation and upgrading of the industry.
