Yesterday (23), led by the Ministry of Commerce, the foreign trade and economic cooperation departments, associations and some related enterprises in five provinces of Zhejiang, Sichuan, Fujian, Shandong and Jiangsu made special trips to Wenzhou to hold a forum on the export business of the Ministry of Commerce to Russia.

On the evening of September 11th in Beijing, Russian officials raided the market in the Moscow area on the grounds of "gray customs clearance" and seized the shoes, clothing, socks and other products of Chinese merchants in the warehouse.

Almost all Chinese businessmen in Moscow concentrate on the business of the Asian market.

Yesterday's Forum revealed that according to feedback from enterprises, the value of goods seized by Russia was about 2 billion 100 million dollars, nearly 20 thousand containers, involving more than 2000 domestic enterprises, the largest amount ever seized in history.

Among them, Zhejiang has the largest amount of money, 1 billion 500 million dollars, Fujian has about 400 million dollars, and Sichuan has nearly 200 million dollars.

More than 400 people in Wenzhou are involved, and the amount involved is worth about 1 billion dollars.

At yesterday's forum, the foreign trade department, the European Department, the division of law and the market order Department of the Ministry of Commerce and other related personnel were present.

Wang Shouwen, director of the Ministry of foreign trade of the Ministry of Commerce, said that the Ministry of Commerce attached great importance to the seizure and acted quickly. The Minister of Commerce Chen Deming had convened an emergency meeting and discussed the response of the incident.

Wang Shouwen and his party arrived in Wenzhou at 12 noon yesterday, and flew back to Beijing at 8 o'clock last night to report to the head of the Department. The journey was extremely hasty.

This also reflects the importance attached by the Ministry of Commerce to this incident.

After the closure of Wenzhou shoes, the municipal government and the foreign trade department attached great importance to it and took immediate action.

The day before yesterday, entrusted by the leadership of the Ministry of Commerce, the European director of the Department of Commerce and the General Administration of customs and other departments rushed to Russia to consult with the Russian side on the resolution of the incident and strive to minimize the loss of Chinese businessmen.

He also revealed that today, Vice Minister of Commerce Yu Guangzhou will also meet with the Russian ambassador to China to further discuss the resolution of the incident as soon as possible.
