Guangdong Intends To Set Up A Taiwan Funded Industrial Transfer Park In Qingyuan

Guangdong is preparing to set up a Taiwanese capital industrial transfer park in Qingyuan to undertake the industrial transfer of Taiwan funded enterprises in the Pearl River Delta region. Chen Guoxing, director of Taiwan Affairs Office of Guangdong Province, disclosed the news in September 25th at the opening ceremony of Guangdong Taiwan window network in Guangdong province. Chen Guoxing, in an interview with the first financial daily, said that the transfer and upgrading of Taiwanese enterprises is an important part of Guangdong's construction of a modern industrial system and the concept of "dual transfer". The Taiwan Affairs Office of Guangdong province and relevant departments are carrying out reasonable industrial transfer to the Taiwan funded enterprises with labor-intensive and low technology level according to the development of Taiwan enterprises. "According to our investigation, many enterprises in the Pearl River Delta also want to transfer and upgrade locally, so that they will not break the original industrial chain, which is more advantageous than moving to the central and western regions at will." Chen Guoxing said. In view of the difficulties faced by the labor-intensive Taiwanese enterprises in the Pearl River Delta region, the Taiwan Affairs Office of Guangdong province is reflecting the relevant departments of the state, and applies for the establishment of a Taiwan funded industrial transfer park in Qingyuan to undertake the transfer of Taiwan funded enterprises in the Pearl River Delta region. It is learnt that the proposed park has a scale of several dozen square kilometers, and it has been developed on the basis of the original economic development zone in Qingyuan and the Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone. "But this is only a plan now, and we are working hard to do it. At present, the plan has been reported to the provincial government. Prior to August 27th, relevant departments in Guangzhou held "Guangzhou Taiwan funded enterprises transformation and upgrading and Industrial Transfer Conference", and urged Guangzhou labor-intensive Taiwan enterprises to transfer reasonably to the two wings of Guangdong and western Guangdong. As early as last August, the Zhongshan torch (Yangxi) industrial transfer industrial park was set up in Guangdong last year. As a gathering place for the industrial transfer of Taiwan funded footwear manufacturers in the Pearl River Delta, the park has attracted many Taiwanese funded shoe enterprises to enter. In this regard, Chen Guoxing said that the Taiwan Affairs Office of Guangdong province will provide guidance to Guangdong and Taiwan enterprises in different categories, so that their industrial transfer and transformation will be more targeted and more effective.
