    Japanese Textile And Garment Enterprises Usher In The Era Of Information Sharing

    Recently, the Japanese textile and garment supply chain management Promotion Association (hereinafter referred to as the SCM Promotion Association) convened the ninth high-level enterprise meeting. President Ma Chang Chang pointed out: "in the textile and garment trade hardware has been formed, it is necessary to explore the information sharing problem between enterprises."

    The high-level meeting of the enterprise decided to set up the "textile and clothing information sub committee", which is responsible for planning information sharing, updating, unified format of document production, international standard investigation and so on.

    In addition, the SCM Promotion Association also decided to set up the TAG project team (TAG is the abbreviation for textile enterprises, garment enterprises and comprehensive supermarkets), and is responsible for the formulation of trade guides between textile enterprises, garment enterprises and supermarkets. The TA guidelines Promotion Committee is set up to promote the trade guide of textile and garment enterprises.

    The conference held a profound significance, indicating that the supply chain management of Japanese textile and garment industry ushered in the era of information sharing among enterprises.

    The importance of the information sharing of textile and clothing enterprises at the ninth high level meeting of the ninth textile and garment enterprises, the sixth textile and clothing project was determined by the association.

    In order to facilitate the smooth development of various activities of the project, the SCM Promotion Association decided to set up the textile and clothing information sub committee, which is responsible for studying the problems that need to be solved between the textile enterprises, the clothing enterprises and the retail enterprises.

    The SCM Promotion Association is the core organization established by the textile and garment industry to promote the reform of circulation structure.

    In 2003, as the trade cooperation between textile enterprises and garment enterprises lagged behind the cooperation between clothing enterprises and department stores, the SCM Promotion Association decided to convene a high-level meeting of textile and garment enterprises to explore the business mode of textile and garment circulation.

    Because the relevant enterprises dispatched the middle managers who were in charge of circulation, they soon found problems in the implementation of supply chain management between textile enterprises and garment enterprises.

    So far, the textile and apparel project team has drawn up 5 trade guides and 2 memorandums. In the high-level meeting held in October this year, the model text of indirect paction contracts formulated by the project team was also adopted.

    Therefore, the SCM Promotion Committee believes that after 5 years of efforts, the hardware conditions for implementing supply chain management between textile enterprises and garment enterprises have been achieved. The next step is to achieve information sharing among enterprises, that is, "to respond quickly to changes in the consumer market through information sharing, and to improve the efficiency of various businesses".

    The informatization branch will carry out three aspects of work. In fact, it has set up an information seminar on the fifth textile and clothing project.

    At that time, the participants agreed that the ideal state of information sharing is the full use of information technology by enterprises, but there are still some manual and paper-based operations in reality, and the information sharing requirements have not yet been achieved.

    Therefore, the textile and apparel project team decided to start from the mature part and carry out the work of information sharing.

    Specifically, with the premise of popularizing the guide to textile and clothing trade, the information sharing of textile enterprises and garment enterprises in commodity planning can be realized and updated in a timely manner.

    At the same time, participating enterprises actively promote the electronic information of commodity planning.

    In the sixth textile and clothing project, the textile and clothing information sub committee will mainly carry out three aspects of work: first, discuss the feasibility of making unified orders according to the requirements of the guide to textile and clothing trade.

    Although the "textile and clothing trade guide" has clear requirements for the record of orders, there are various orders in the actual trade, which not only cause waste, but also increase the burden on the staff. Therefore, many textile and garment enterprises call for unified production orders.

    The two is to study the international standards of supply chain management and electronic data interchange.

    Under the background of global economic integration, the scale of international trade in textile and clothing is expanding. The international standards of electronic information may emerge in the future. The textile and clothing information sub committee will focus on the harm that may not be caused by international standards, and further explore the direction of adopting international standards.

    Although SCM promotion will realize the importance of information sharing between textile and garment enterprises, what information needs to be shared and there is no definite answer for the time being.

    The information sub committee will discuss the information content that needs to be shared in commodity planning, and how to realize information sharing.

    TAG cooperation projects urged discussions between upstream and downstream enterprises. At the beginning of the SCM Promotion Association, the industry realized that in order to achieve supply chain management in textile and garment industry, it is necessary to strengthen cooperation between textile enterprises and garment enterprises, so the textile and garment cooperation project was launched.

    However, with the development of the work, SCM promotion will realize that supply chain management is inseparable from the participation of downstream retail enterprises. Therefore, since 2005, large supermarkets have been invited to participate in the work of the Promotion Association. At present, 6 retail businesses such as Yong Wang have participated in the discussion and experiment work.

    Textile and garment cooperation projects have also been extended to TAG textile, clothing and retailer cooperation projects.

    So far, discussions among textile enterprises, garment enterprises and retail enterprises include: business processes, ideas of information sharing, definition of responsibilities for commodity quality issues, and business conditions for cooperation.

    On this basis, the responsible person also discussed how to reduce customer complaints and how to make effective use of various records.

    In the future, the TAG cooperation project will appeal to more garment enterprises to participate in the formulation of the project guide, and explore in depth the information sharing project, the business conditions of the project, the order form and so on.

    The Trade Promotion Committee has called for more groups to participate. At present, the number of enterprises participating in high-level meetings has reached 62, involving textile, clothing and retail businesses. Enterprises that have signed cooperation agreements have shown a significant increase.

    At the same time, with the deepening of supply chain management activities, the progress gap between enterprises has been widened.

    In addition, the overall understanding of the "textile and clothing trade guide" is low.

    In order to open up the situation, the sixth textile and garment project decided to set up an organization called "textile and clothing trade guide Promotion Committee", calling for more enterprises and industry groups to participate in the project.

    Enterprises responsible for textile and garment projects will automatically become members. At the same time, the new organization will extend an invitation to the heads of relevant industry groups to further expand the impact of the guide to textile and clothing trade.

    (SCM) the Promotion Committee believes that processing enterprises such as weaving, dyeing, sewing and so on do not understand the trade guide. If we can participate in the discussion of trade guides through industry organizations, it is expected to expand the impact of supply chain management promotion in the industry.

    The textile and clothing trade guide has identified specific work ideas, including: appeals to enterprises that have already participated in the project to invite customers to participate; invite the heads of the above industry organizations to attend the summit meeting; and cooperate with local governments and trade associations to convene the South Textile Exposition.
