Wang Tiankai, President of the China Federation of textile industry, said that since the international financial crisis, the world economic situation has undergone profound changes. The world's international trade pattern, industrial division system, advanced manufacturing mode and production organization form have made important changes. At present, China's textile industry is at an important turning point. As a member of the global textile industry system, facing the uncertainties of the current world economic instability, China's textile industry is also facing changes in the major macroeconomic situation such as China's economic growth shift, structural adjustment, policy pformation, and so on, and the inherent structural contradictions accumulated in the industry become more prominent.
"Further deepening industrial restructuring, accelerating pformation and upgrading, and adapting ourselves to the new normal of the world and China's economy have become the fundamental task of the development of China's textile industry.
Promoting pformation and upgrading is the inevitable requirement of China's textile industry.
Wang Tiankai pointed out that with the change of the external situation in recent years, the development mode of China's textile industry is also changing, and the total size of the industry has expanded. But compared with the first ten years of this century, the momentum of growth has significantly weakened, and the total growth rate of China's textile industry has been slowing down gradually.
Data show that in 2013, the total fiber processing in China reached 48 million 500 thousand tons, an increase of 17.4% compared with 2010, an average annual increase of 5.5%, while the first ten years of this century, that is, 2001-2010 annual growth of 11.7%, and the growth rate decreased by 6.2%. In 2013, the total textile exports amounted to 212 billion dollars, an increase of 37.8%, an average increase of 11.3%.
"Data change shows that China's textile industry has entered a cycle of rapid growth to medium speed growth.
We have begun to deepen the structural adjustment and speed up the new stage of pformation and upgrading.
In addition, the industrial structure of China's textile industry has changed. In 2013, the output of China's industrial textiles reached 11 million 300 thousand tons, an increase of 37.3% compared with 2010. The proportion of fiber processing in three categories of clothing, household and production products was adjusted from 51:29:3:20 in 2010 to 48:29:23 in 2013.
Wang Tiankai introduced that industrial textiles effectively promoted the development of new fiber materials and equipment manufacturing industry.
"Chemical fiber accounts for 80% of China's total fiber processing in 2013, an increase of 10 percentage points over 2010.
The differential rate of domestic products is more than 50%. Under the situation of high cotton price difference at home and abroad, it has effectively guaranteed the stable supply of textile raw materials. The output of textile regenerated fiber exceeded 6 million tons in 2013, and the proportion of fiber processing output increased from 9.6% in 2010 to 12.4%. The role of textile recycling economy in strengthening raw material protection has gradually appeared.
But Wang Tiankai also pointed out that China's textile industry is facing a lot of pressure in the process of structural adjustment.
In recent years, the cost of production factors in China's textile industry has continuously increased, and the per capita wage has increased at an annual rate of over 10%, and the wage level is much higher than that of the developing neighbouring countries.
Cotton prices continue to be higher than 30% of the international market, and the cost advantages of the industry in international competition basically cease to exist.
In the face of shortage of resources, the Chinese government is more stringent in terms of monitoring standards and tasks for low carbon and environmental protection.
Relying on the promotion of added value, the textile industry achieved energy consumption per unit of added value in 2012, and the intensity of carbon dioxide emissions decreased by 25% compared with 2010. In 2012, the water consumption per unit added value and the 2010 value decreased by 30%.
Compared with developing countries, there is still a certain gap.
The progress of emission reduction of main pollutants in the industry is relatively slow, and there is still a gap with the government's demand for emissions.
"Accelerate industrial pformation and upgrading, enhance total factor productivity, and sustainable development capacity, effectively break the bottleneck of resources and environment, and better participate in the international community.
