Since 12th Five-Year, the textile industry has continued to develop rapidly, and the proportion of textile fiber processing and exports has increased further in the world. During the period of 12th Five-Year, structural adjustment achieved remarkable results, industrial structure was further optimized, industrial textiles were further developed as a new growth point in the development of the industry, the proportion of fiber processing in garments, home textiles and industrial industries was adjusted from 51:29:20 in 2010 to 46.8:28.6:24.6, and the fiber processing volume in the industrial textile industry increased by 10.6% annually.

Chemical fiber accounted for 12 percentage points of fiber processing volume in the country, and the proportion of chemical fiber production increased 7.7 percentage points in the world.

The textile industry continues to move to the central and western regions, of which Xinjiang is a new hot spot for investment.
