Ready to return: Vivienne Westwood announced yesterday that it will launch a new series of 2017 men's week in autumn and winter in January next year, and is the same as Gucci, Burberry and Vetements. She will combine men's and women's wear at the same time.

The choice is men's wear week. The Vivienne Westwood, founded in 1981, is a genuine British brand, but its men's wear series appeared on the Pitti Uomo in Milan in June 1990. Then it came out in 1996 and has been involved in Milan men's wear week.
Vivienne Westwood's brand arrangement is always complicated: Men's wear in Milan, women's wear line Gold Label in Paris (the first autumn and winter show in 1981 was released in London, but the brand went to Paris in second years, and became the second designer in Paris after the Mary Quant). The women's wear line Red Label frequently wanders between New York and London until the autumn and winter series in 2008.
The new layout means that Vivienne Westwood men's and women's clothing will be integrated into the same brand and will be released on London Fashion week.
However, at the beginning of the year, the women's mainline Gold Label, renamed "Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood", remained unchanged in Paris.
The original dress accessory line Red Label began in the 2016 autumn winter series, renamed it Vivienne Westwood.
Another major change in the brand is to streamline its branches. In 1993, the women's wear sub line Red Label, which was split from the main line, and the Man Label, which was launched in Milan in 1996, will be merged and renamed Vivienne Westwood.
As the main force of the brand, the renamed Vivienne Westwood will be exhibited on London men's wear week in 2017 autumn and winter.
As for the 2017 spring summer London dress week, which will be held in September, the brand will no longer be a show alone, but will still be shown to some media and buyers in a way of appointment invitation.
As early as last May, Vivienne Westwood revealed to fashion website Fashionista that he had the idea of streamlining the brand's existing branch line.
In February this year, the idea was finally implemented: from the 2016 autumn and winter series, the Red Label was renamed as Vivienne Westwood, and the main line Gold Label was renamed "Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood" with the name of her husband and the designer of the brand.
As for the relatively inexpensive Anglomania, Worlds End and accessories series, the original status remains unchanged.
