Born in the United States 80 years ago, because of its high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, high strength and good insulation, it has been widely used in aerospace, pportation, electronics, electrical appliances, building materials, energy saving, environmental protection, infrastructure, sports and leisure fields, and has become a new generation of composite materials instead of steel, wood, stone and other traditional materials.
In 1972, Zhang Yuqiang became attached to glass fiber.
This year, Zhang Yuqiang repeatedly handed back a drawing machine from Jiujiang, Jiangxi. Therefore, the Shimen collective factory, which was on the verge of collapse, began to pform to make glass fiber, and boldly stepped up a pioneering road to catch up with the frontier technology.
Along the way, we made steady progress. In 1989, as the first batch of joint-stock pformation enterprises in Zhejiang Province, Tongxiang Zhen Shi Limited by Share Ltd was established and established a standardized corporate governance system, which laid a good foundation for further development.
In 1993, when the Tongxiang economic development zone was established, Zhang Yuqiang shook the rocks at the helm and rushed out of Shimen, forming a joint venture with four local units.

At that time, the domestic glass fiber enterprises used the glass fiber production technology of the Soviet Union, by melting the ore powder into glass balls and then drawing the wires. Faced with the technical blockade in Europe and America, Zhang Yuqiang decided to do it himself.
As a result, five units jointly invested 75 million yuan to invest in the construction of 8000 tons annual production line of pool kiln drawing, and opened the road of independent R & D production line.
At that time, the investment of 75 million yuan was astronomical.
The Asian financial crisis in 1998 brought the boulders into trouble again, almost bought by foreign counterparts.
At that time, there were two choices in front of Zhang Yuqiang, either being eaten by the industry tycoons from the United States, but he could still be a senior executive with a high salary, or he could go public with the central enterprises and China Building Materials Group to explore the way of mixed ownership reform.
Zhang Yuqiang finally chose the latter and described the choice in one sentence: "external indestructible, melting itself inside."
In 1999, the giant stone group joined hands with China's building materials to set up China's huge stones, and successfully listed, raising 210 million yuan of funds to solve the urgent need of the enterprises.
With the capital, the largest stone production line in 2000 was the largest annual production capacity of 16 thousand tons of non alkali glass fiber tank furnace drawing line, and entered the ranks of the first group of glass fiber industry in one fell swoop.
Second steps of "turning the stone into gold": upper level

After 8 years of hard work, the giant stone team finally developed E6 high-performance glass fiber. This is China's first high-performance glass fiber formula with independent intellectual property rights and international patent authorization.

Today, the sales volume of E7 products independently developed by megelite is increasing year by year. E8 products have achieved efficient production in 10000 ton tank kilns, realizing the comprehensive surpass of competitors in the field of glass formulation, and E9 products are being developed according to plan.

At the national science and Technology Awards Conference in 2016, the "high performance glass fiber low cost mass production technology and complete equipment development" project was awarded the two prize of national science and technology progress.
At the same time, this achievement built a demonstration line in the giant stone Egypt factory, and realized the first export of technology to China's fiberglass industry.

In 2018, 24 new products such as Lloyd's register were added to the megalith, totaling 129 product certifications, 91 new patent applications, 46 authorized patents, 581 authorized patents, 112 inventions, and 18 national standards.
While promoting product structure optimization and upgrading, boulder is committed to playing the role of leading enterprises, further reducing the energy consumption per unit product through technological innovation, controlling pollutant generation from the source and upgrading the treatment technology of three wastes, setting up a benchmark for green manufacturing in the industry.

In 2012, megalith officially launched the strategy of building overseas factories, with the first choice of Egypt, which is adjacent to Europe, zero tariff, anti dumping, abundant labor resources and strong domestic demand in the future.
After 6 years of hard work, huge stones have been built in Egypt for 3 large-scale production lines.

In August this year, when Chairman Xi Jinping proposed the "one belt and one road" initiative 5th anniversary, the annual production capacity of 200 thousand tons of fiberglass production base in megalith Egypt has been fully put into operation.

In December 2016, the annual output of 80 thousand tons of glass fiber production line built by megalith invested US $300 million was laid down in Richland County, South Carolina, and became the largest investment enterprise in Richland county since 1984.

China's megalith new material intelligent manufacturing base, which has a total investment of over 10 billion yuan, is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2022, involving 450 thousand tons of roving production line and 180 thousand tons of spinning production line.
After completion, the total scale of glass fiber roving in Tongxiang production base will reach 1 million 250 thousand tons, and the electronic cloth production capacity will be 1 billion meters, so as to achieve the goal of doubling the capacity of glass fiber in headquarters.
Good wind relies on strength to set sail at that time.
In the 40 years of reform and opening up and the 25th anniversary establishment of megalith, China's boulders have opened a whole new chapter.
