"Ten As Dialogue" Calls For Sustainable Development

Beijing, Guangdong, November 11 (reporter Xu Qingqing) sponsored by Hongkong Yida group, 2018, "ten as dialogue" was held in Guilin recently. Yang Minde, chairman of Yida group, called on Chinese enterprises to tell the world by action. Sustainable development is the initiative of Chinese enterprises, and Chinese enterprises are responsible enterprises.

Yida is currently the world's leading manufacturer and exporter of cotton shirts. Its business covers cotton planting, spinning, weaving, dyeing and finishing, garment making, accessories, packaging and retailing.

"Ten as dialogue" calls on the business community to strongly support the goal of sustainable development in business activities, and speed up inclusive growth and climate adaptability.

Yida group also announced its participation in the action plan for sustainable development enterprises. The collective statement was jointly led by Yida group and Alibaba, China Three Gorges group and Erie group. A total of 16 well-known domestic and foreign enterprises, including Novartis pharmaceuticals, were jointly signed at the first sustainable development forum held in Beijing in October to promote the implementation of the United Nations agenda for sustainable development in 2030.

The initiative points out that although each enterprise has its own objectives, it has a common basic commitment to sustainable development, and is determined to take the following key actions: the chairman or Chief Executive shall be the main promoter of the concept of sustainable development into the company's business development strategy, the Commission on sustainable development should be set up at the group level, or the chief sustainable development officer, to carry out the concept of sustainable development in the company's business activities, and to make information disclosure on environmental, social and governance performance and so on.

Che Ketao, vice chairman and chief executive officer of Yida group, said: "the threat of climate change and non inclusive growth is real. We must rely on the joint efforts of the government, enterprises and individuals to achieve the goal of sustainable development."
