2008 China's footwear trade totaled 29 billion 660 million US dollars, up 17.7% from the same period last year.
Guangdong, for example, exports 3 billion 260 million pairs of shoes in 2008, down 59% from 2007, but the export value is 10 billion 620 million US dollars, an increase of 15.4%. The average price is 3.3 US dollars, up 22.6%.
The industry said that the new tax rebate rate improved the export of shoe enterprises.
At the same time, it also shows that China's footwear industry has taken positive measures to improve product quality and added value in the global market with a pressing cold market and a general reduction in orders for export enterprises, thus facilitating a good rise in the average export price of footwear last year.
