    One morning in 1999, she went shopping in the street, saw a shoeshine woman, rubbed 5 pairs of shoes in half an hour, and made 5 yuan. She has a brainwave: if we can open a special shoe shop in a busy place, let the customers shine their shoes at the same time, and have a comfortable rest, so that we will not have to worry about the wind and rain, and the business will be good.


    After many twists and turns, she rented a more than 10 square meter facade in Hankou and opened the first indoor shoe shop. The day when the shoemaker opened, a lot of curious passers-by stopped, but there were few shoeshine shoeshers. Hu Guiping made an advertisement at the door of the shop, which showed that the shop only received 5 cents for shoeshine, and the coin was sold by the customer himself. She also invited the curious people to come to the shop and tell them about the maintenance knowledge of leather shoes, and introduce the decontamination methods of shoe upper.


    Gradually, shoemaker business is getting better and better. The shoes cleaned every day rise from more than 100 pairs to more than 400 pairs. A month later, she made over 3000 yuan.

She also introduced new service items such as leather bags, foot care and foot massage. She was very popular with customers, and the business of shoemaker shops was booming every day.


    On one occasion, Hu Guiping discovered a product called "dermal beauty cream", which worked very well. So she bought the product patent and produced it herself. Nowadays, Hu Guiping's shoe polishing company, besides shoeshine, also produces and sells shoe related products such as shoe polish, insoles, wear-resistant posts, pedicure devices, dry feet and so on.


    "It doesn't cost much to polish shoes." Hu Guiping admitted that in the "Han Emperor" shoe store, shoes accounted for only about 10% of the total income. Most of the income came from other supporting services.


    Shoemaker stores nationwide


    Shoemaker business is getting more and more prosperous, and Hu Guiping's reputation is getting bigger and bigger. Many laid-off workers are asking for help. In June 1999, Yan Changhua, a laid-off worker, found Hu Guiping, asking for a brand called "Han Emperor" to open a shoe store. Hu Guiping helped Yan Changhua and his wife open their first chain store.


    In August 2000, Hu Guiping founded a "Wuhan Han Huang Yi Shoes Co., Ltd.", which is free of charge and free of charge. In the busy streets of three towns in Wuhan, there is a "Han imperial circle shoe shop".


    The laid-off women workers opened a shoeshine chain store, and many media reported Hu Guiping's deeds. Many laid-off workers from other provinces and cities came to learn from them. For a while, "Han Huang's shoes shop" sprang up all over the country.


    Chain stores are growing rapidly, and some negative effects are gradually emerging. She asked the chain stores to unify the Han imperial brand, business scale, trademark usage, store design, market operation, advertising, equipment configuration, dress, product sales and product price, and charge management fees to the franchisees.


    Because of the timely rectification, "Han Huang Yi Yuan Shoes Co., Ltd." has won the advantage in the fierce market competition. Today, she has opened more than 1000 chain stores in more than 50 cities across the country.


    Shoeshine also needs talents.


    When Hu Guiping's company was founded, he recruited a college student and several technical secondary school students. But soon, they left without saying goodbye. With the development of the company, the quality of staff is low, and the problem of low level of management and operation is increasingly prominent. She is eager to introduce high-quality talents to ensure the healthy development of the company.


    For the college students who came to apply for the job, she not only provided a higher salary, but also entrusted her with heavy responsibilities, so as to create a relaxed and pleasant working atmosphere.
