     Department of fine arts, Tangshan Normal University

    Tangshan Normal University is a footstep in the flourishing development of education in New China, and gradually develops a new type of undergraduate college, which is not rich in spring and autumn but has a bright future. Since the beginning of 1956, the trials and hardships in 60s and 70s, and the warm savings in 80s and 90s, have finally struck Yi Pengfei in the turn of the century. Approved by the Ministry of education, it has become the first normal college to upgrade to undergraduate level in our province.

      
    Based on the training of 100 thousand talents for Jidong and even the whole province in the past half century, the Institute is now undertaking two pioneering activities, initiatively renewing the concept of running schools, enhancing the strength of running schools, improving the quality of running schools steadily, improving the level of running schools steadily, and striving to play a greater role in the development of the political, economic, cultural and educational undertakings within and outside the province.

      
    Relying on Tangshan's cradle of modern industry and the strength of Hebei's leading economic city, the college has good prospects for development. The new campus of the college is located in the high and new technology development zone of the city. The plan covers an area of nearly 1000 mu. It is the most rational and most standardized campus in Tangshan City. After the completion of the second phase, the total construction area will reach 260 thousand square meters, the enrollment capacity will exceed 10000, the library and information retrieval center with 1 million volumes of books, the 5000 class multimedia classroom community, the 25000 square meter complete equipment, the modern experimental site, and the 3000 square meter student activity center.

      
    At present, the college has 13 departments, 27 specialties and 24 specialties, including literature, science, pedagogy, law, management, history, 6 universities, and 1 two international colleges, 3 branches (primary education college, Luzhou Branch and Yutian branch), 1 affiliated high schools (Tangshan eight middle schools), and dozens of educational practice bases covering Tangshan City from preschool education to high school. At the same time, there are educational science research institutes, book information centers, network centers, computer centers, modern educational technology centers, literature and drama research institutes, and editorial departments of journals. The Journal of Tangshan Normal University is a provincial excellent journal for the whole country. The Institute is currently recruiting students from Hebei and radiating the whole country. At present, there are 14137 college students, more than 10000 adult education and continuing education.

      
    College teaching strength, talent group advantage is rising. There are 813 faculty members and 588 full-time teachers, including 49 professors, 195 associate professors, 208 graduate students or above, and foreign teachers from the United States, Britain, Germany and Japan. It has a number of leading academics and well-known academic leaders in similar institutions throughout the province. Chinese teaching theory has made remarkable achievements. The series of teaching materials has been awarded the excellent teaching material award of the Ministry of education. Some areas of literary theory research are at the leading level in the whole province, and the academic achievements such as realism shock wave have been awarded the national literary union award and the provincial award continuously. In the field of biotechnology, agricultural science and technology tackling key project "comprehensive utilization of breeding waste" has been awarded three prize of science and technology progress of provinces and cities; some young teachers have been selected as "333 Talents Project" in Hebei province.

      
    In the past five years, the college has been carrying out systematic construction around the teaching rules of undergraduate education. Guided by the needs of the society, it has built up a multi-level and multi form school running pattern in line with the idea of "strong foundation, wide professional, heavy practice and high quality", and strives to build a new type of university that allows students, families, employers, governments and society to "five satisfactorily". In the increasingly fierce competition for employment, graduates have maintained strong adaptability and competitiveness. Over the past few years, the employment rate of graduates of this college has maintained a high level of 75% and 70%. The pass rate of Grade Four examination is higher than that of the average level of the similar institutions in China. The rate of postgraduate entrance examination is 18.79%, and all the members of the same dormitory have been admitted to graduate school on campus for 18.79%.

    Academy Honours:

    Over the past 30 years after the earthquake, the teachers of the academy have always inherited and vigorously carried forward the spirit of "being selfish, sharing weal and woe, persevering and advancing bravely" (Jiang Zemin language), keeping in mind the mission, constantly forging ahead, and training more than 10 000 high-quality basic education teachers and applied talents for the regional economic and social development, which made outstanding contributions to the development of basic education and social undertakings after the earthquake, and won the recognition of the party and the government and the acclaim of the society. In 1988, the school was selected as the national excellent teacher's college. In 1989, the Tangshan municipal Party committee and the municipal government Rongji rejuvenate the Tangshan meritorious competition. In 1991, it was awarded the first place in the teaching management evaluation of the whole province. In 1992, it was awarded the "advanced collective" of the national higher education institutions by the State Education Commission, and was designated by the provincial Party committee and the provincial government as one of the eight pilot schools for comprehensive reform of provincial colleges and universities. In 1995, it was designated by the Provincial Education Commission as the only experimental unit of the two year Teacher College in Hebei province. In 1996, it was appraised by the Provincial Education Commission as the advanced unit of cadre work during the "85" period. In 2000, it was upgraded to a teacher's college by the Ministry of education. In 2002, new undergraduate professional assessment was successfully passed in Hebei province. In 2004, passed the qualification assessment of bachelor's degree awarding. In 2006, it was selected as the advanced collective of Hebei province university graduates' employment guidance and service work. From 2001 to 2006, schools were selected as municipal civilized units for 3 consecutive times by the municipal Party committee and municipal government of Tangshan. In 2004-2005, it was selected as a provincial civilized unit by the Hebei provincial Party committee and provincial government.

      
    In recent three years, schools have added 9 non teacher education specialties, such as electronic information science and so on. They have launched the construction of brand specialty and excellent courses, promoted the teaching reform, and constructed the talent training mode of "thick foundation, wide caliber, heavy practice and strong ability", and the quality of personnel training has been continuously improved. In 2006, "literature theory" and other 3 courses were selected as provincial quality courses, which achieved a breakthrough in the provincial quality courses of similar institutions in the province, and walked in front of the similar institutions in the province. The passing rate of College English and computer rank examination is among the best in similar institutions in the province. In the past three years, students have gained 54 national awards in various competitions. Among them, 1 are the "Challenge Cup" National College Students' extracurricular academic science and technology competition three. The first prize for the National College English competition is 4, 8 for two, and 17 for three. The first national TV host new star competition was awarded the first prize for 1 people. In the past three years, the average rate of postgraduate entrance examination for ordinary graduates was 17.4%. The average employment rate of graduates is 81.9%.
