The Biggest Blue Fox Breeding Base In Northwest China Is Caught In An Embarrassment.
The village of Wang Ma, south of Wang Village, is the largest blue fox breeding base in Northwest China. It was once prosperous in Lintong.
But now, many farmers have abandoned and go out to work. Lintong blue fox farming has been caught in an embarrassment. Recently, Wang Xiaoli, a blue fox farmer in South Wang village of Ma district street in Lintong, has been struggling to keep blue fox or find a way out.
In February 29th, Wang Xiaoli, a deputy secretary of Nan Wang Village, spoke out quickly about the dilemma of blue fox farming with "big market margins and too thin profits".
She told reporters that blue fox farming has always been a high investment, high yield and high-risk industries.
Before 2005, a piece of leather could be sold for about 300 yuan, with a net profit of 100-120 yuan.
Since last year, influenced by the international market, the price of fox fur has fallen very much. Many small and medium-sized households can not afford the impact of price. They have reduced the number of foxes, and some have even given up farming.
"Last year, I was familiar with the six or seven farmers, once the market changes dramatically, can not earn money, they have to give up farming, went out to work."
Wang Xiaoli's family raised more than 100 blue foxes last year. The scale is moderate in the village.
However, by the end of the year, a fox fur can only be sold to 160 yuan, which is still selling well.
Although it is self propagating, the cost of a blue fox from a young child to a slaughtered skin is about 150 yuan a year.
Now, a year later, there is no profit at all.
So this year, Wang Xiaoli also greatly reduced the number of fox species, leaving only more than 20.
In the past century, the red hot industry has fallen sharply. In the early 90s of the last century, the South fox village, Ma Wang street, started to breed blue fox in Lintong. After more than 10 years of development, it has now become the largest blue fox breeding base in the Northwest with the South King village as its core.
In the past, business was flourishing and the reputation was everywhere.
1999 is the golden age for the benefit of blue fox breeding in Nan Wang village. At that time, a fox was priced at 8000 yuan, and a good fox fur price was mostly around 600 yuan.
With the continuous proliferation of the money making effect, this characteristic industry quickly radiated to 7 administrative villages in the whole town, and the blue fox store rapidly increased. Only the South King Village once reached the scale of more than 20 million, and became the largest blue fox breeding base in Northwest China.
The blue fox fur business is getting bigger and bigger, and is exported to many provinces and cities such as northeast, Shandong, Jiangsu, Hubei and so on, and also exported to Korea, Japan, Russia and other countries.
However, there are accidents.
Last year, fox fur prices dropped sharply after domestic and foreign markets.
This sudden market change not only affects the farmers' income, but also affects their breeding psychological expectations, so that their breeding enthusiasm is seriously dampened.
Up to now, there are 136 blue fox farmers in South Wang Village, accounting for 30.5% of the total number of 446 households, and 5 of the scale farms above 1000, and the total number of farms has dropped to 160 thousand.
"The market contrast is so big that it is hard to see profits now, so many people are not thinking about breeding."
The blue fox farmers, who are also in an awkward position with Wang Xiaoli, are in the minority.
Extensive market operation and extensive operation of the blue fox made the South King Village pick up the poor and backward hat and live a good life.
Over the past more than 10 years, due to the large demand in the domestic and international markets, especially in Russia, the demand for products is in short supply, so the sales channels of the market have been unimpeded and the purchase price of fox fur has been higher.
However, Nan Wang Village ignores the adjustment of aquaculture structure according to market demand, no industrial farming mode, and no production, supply and marketing pattern of "company + peasant household", but has always adopted the traditional and extensive management concept and lacks the ability to fight against market risks.
According to the investigation team of Lintong District, in recent years, because of the overgrowth of blue fox breeding stock, the output of blue fox has increased dramatically, and the market has become increasingly saturated, resulting in a situation of oversupply.
In the market, the blue fox fur is overloaded and the prospect is worrying. However, the color fox fur is in short supply, the price is unusually strong, and merchants are bidding for a high price. The price is 1300~2100 yuan.
Therefore, the market potential of colorful fox fur at home and abroad is enormous.
However, because of information blocking, Nan Wang villagers did not see this change, nor did they adjust the culture structure in time according to the market demand. As a result, the price of Blue Fox Skins plummeted and slow-moving seriously.
Over the years, the southern Wang Village mainly relies on Hebei leather merchants to sell their raw skins to various places, and they do not have specialized sales organizations.
Therefore, this year, when Hebei's leather merchants were squeezed out of the market in Russia and the profit margins of their skins were slender, the only sales channel of the Nan Wang village was blocked.
At the same time, Nan Wang villagers did not make any articles on the deep processing of fox fur, but only sold the raw fox skins. This not only seriously restricted the development of the blue fox industry, but also affected the further improvement of farmers' income.
In addition, influenced by climate warming factors, sales of fox fur accessories have dropped, and high-grade fur ornaments are no longer selling well, especially the fur market such as fur coats and so on.
The government of the blue fox industry is duty bound to solve the problems and embarrassment faced by the blue fox breeding in South China, so that the blue fox breeding industry will step into a healthy development track.
On the one hand, the government departments should make good planning and coordination for the production of blue fox, and actively handle the problems existing in the development, according to the suggestions of the Xi'an Lintong district investigation team of the National Bureau of statistics.
At the same time, we must correctly grasp the market trend and prevent the blue fox market from going up and down.
Timely release information to farmers, guide farmers to understand and grasp market rules, set up market risk awareness, and accurately grasp the opportunity.
On the other hand, we should actively develop the export market and actively support and support the operators of foreign blue fox.
At the same time, we should establish external sales windows, dredge sales channels, strive to expand external sales business, tap the potential of external sales, and continuously improve the production efficiency of blue foxes.
In addition, blue fox farming should follow the industrialization development mode of "company + base + farmer", take the road of industrialization operation, and establish a one-stop service system for production, supply and marketing to form a more complete industrial chain.
In the adjustment of aquaculture structure, efforts should be made to develop the processing technology of Fox Skins. We should rely on local governments or introduce foreign capital to establish enterprises with primary processing and deep processing of Fox Skins, develop high-grade fur decorations, and form an industrial chain for producing, supplying and selling Fox Skins, so as to increase the added value of products and meet the market demand.
In addition, more input from governments at all levels is needed.
In the requisition of land, tax and other aspects to give support and preferential treatment, in terms of funds and policies should be tilted.
Moreover, under the conditions of mature and standardized management plots, we should focus on developing large scale supporting farmers, cultivating specialized households, and forming a pattern of joint development of intensive management and household management.
We should strive to develop the standardized blue fox industry with the preferential policies of sufficient life, and gradually achieve the goal of scale construction, scale production and scale increase of the blue fox industry.
It is reported that the Lintong district government has recently carried out animal husbandry training for blue fox farmers, and is also willing to invest 5 million yuan to establish the first processing base for fox fur.
