At present, the recovery, utilization and processing of waste textiles in China are basically "primary stage".

Employees include recycling companies, self-employed households, private enterprises and so on. The government led regular recycling enterprises are few.

Li Cheng, general manager of the company, said that the company mainly reclaims and imports leftovers from clothes, then dissolves, decomposes and disinfect these textile materials, and then produces recycled fibers into clothing, and exports them to Europe and the United States and other countries and regions.

"Many famous sports brands such as Adidas and Nike are customers of Tiancheng company."

Li Cheng said, compared with this part of the formal enterprises, the main force of our old clothes is the individual recovery troops that are spread all over the city and countryside. They have no formal organization system, mostly spontaneous formation, and most of them are in semi underground state.

According to the investigation by the relevant departments, the guerrilla teams of these old clothes are mainly distributed in areas such as Hebei, Cangzhou, Zhejiang and Cangnan. There are widespread problems such as small scale, backward processing methods, no fixed points for recovery, poor hygienic conditions, and even shoddy and so on. Therefore, it is urgent to standardize management.

Or become a new industry in the future

Data show that China's fiber processing accounts for more than half of the world's total, reaching 41 million 300 thousand tons in 2011.

With the fluctuation of oil prices in the international market, the bottleneck of raw material resources in textile industry is becoming more and more prominent.

At present, except for mulberry silk need not import, other fibers need to be imported. China has become a large importer of textile raw materials.

Experts believe that there are three ways to solve the constraints of textile raw materials: one is to develop bast fiber that does not compete with grain; two is to fiber to the ocean; three, to use waste textiles.

There is a lot to write about the elimination of waste textiles.

For example, after the loosening and processing of the waste textile fibers, the fineness can reach more than 22mm, and the fabric can be rewoven.

Short fibers that fail to meet this requirement extend to the direction of automotive materials and building materials.

Such as making wall materials, cement reinforcement materials, fire dragons and other industrial textiles, is an export channel to absorb waste textiles.

The oil drilling material developed by Beijing University of Geoscience is made of old garments after processing. This shows that the value of waste textiles can be utilized infinitely and the market is very large.

Some manufacturers that see market opportunities in China have already begun to plant equipment and build factories to join in the army of recycling and processing old textiles.
