It Is Shameless For Shoe Companies To Live On Cheap Labor.
According to the press: some time ago, there was a media alarmist: the manufacturing enterprises in the Pearl River Delta moved to a large number, and the tens of thousands of shoe factories in Dongguan were closed, and the name of the "world factory" in the PRD was about to disappear.
Implication: the labor contract law has driven away small and medium-sized private enterprises that rely on "cheap labor" to live and earn their living.
Not so bad!
Huang Huahua, a deputy to the National People's Congress and governor of Guangdong Province, rejected the "above view" in a joint interview with Chinese and foreign media in Beijing. He pointed out that the Pearl River Delta enterprises did not migrate in large numbers.
In 2007, there were 244 enterprises in the Pearl River Delta, but there were as many as more than 7000 new businesses.
Since the promulgation of the labor contract law, some individual scholars have affirmed that the labor contract law will harm the Chinese economy. During this year's "two sessions", some private entrepreneurs representatives proposed to abolish the provisions of the "no fixed term contract" in the labor contract law.
The logic of a few people who hold the above view is very simple: since the reform and opening up, Chinese enterprises have been relying on cheap labor to reduce production costs. It is China's huge and cheap labor force, which not only made sacrifices for the growth of Chinese private enterprises, but also contributed to the rapid growth of China's economy.
Therefore, if the labor contract law is strictly enforced, all enterprises must pay all kinds of social insurance premiums for their employees, and they can not dismiss employees for no reason, especially for migrant workers. They can no longer arbitrarily deduct their wages, or require them to work overtime free or at any time and at any time to dismiss them; if so, those who hold these views insist that it is very bad because enterprises will have to earn a lot of money in this way, especially that they can no longer rely on "cheap labor force" to reduce production costs, and then those enterprises that rely on cheap labor to make a living can not survive or even survive.
Therefore, they believe that the labor contract law does not let the labor force continue to "cheap" approach is wrong.
However, in fact, in the past 30 years of reform and opening up, China's huge and cheap labor force has helped Chinese enterprises complete the accumulation of primitive capital, and at the same time, the achievements of China's economic development have also been greatly accumulated.
Therefore, it is time for us to consider building a harmonious society.
A harmonious society is people-oriented, so that the largest number of nationals, including laborers, can share the fruits of national economic development and give workers decent work and basic dignity.
The labor contract law is the basic embodiment of this spirit.
Where is the mistake?
With the rapid development of reform and opening up in the past 30 years, China has become a truly "world economic power". However, if China wants to become an "economic power" in the world, if it continues to rely on the traditional "superiority" of cheap labor, the dream of a powerful Chinese nation will never come to an end.
Harmonious society and people-oriented, since we can not continue to sacrifice the interests of the "cheap labor force", the only option we can choose is to take the road of creating a new country.
Innovative countries must abandon the "high energy consumption and high pollution" economic growth mode, combine technological innovation with building a resource-saving and environment-friendly society, and let this idea be deeply rooted in the hearts of the people and put into action.
The bigger and stronger enterprises are the same development principle with the prosperity and strength of the country.
If an enterprise wants to be bigger and stronger, it must occupy the market share with high technology, fight the world with its core competitiveness, and stimulate the enthusiasm and creativity of the employees with a sense of social responsibility.
The era of cheap labor that is "good horse but not horse" has ended. Our enterprises and entrepreneurs should keep pace with the times, voluntarily abandon their illusions, arm themselves with new awareness and new thinking, consciously abide by the labor contract law, treat their employees well, and become an enterprise and entrepreneur in line with the trend of the times.
In the strong economy of the United States, enterprises have long been the main body of the national endowment insurance and medical insurance.
And many of our businesses and owners are still playing "cat and mouse" games for their employees' social security. Is this a social responsibility or a social responsibility?
In fact, let's put it plainly, the key reason why the labor contract law makes some owners panic is that, with the effective implementation of China's labor contract law, the employees' social insurance premiums paid by employers will be legalized, pparent, open and compulsory, so that small and medium-sized owners will no longer have room for retreat.
That is the real point of the problem.
The author believes that the labor contract law is not only a law protecting the basic rights and interests of laborers. With the implementation of this law, Chinese enterprises will pay more attention to technological innovation, energy conservation, consumption reduction and environmental protection. Therefore, the core competitiveness and international competitiveness of Chinese enterprises will surely take a qualitative leap and lay a solid material foundation for our enterprises to become bigger and stronger and to the world.
In this sense, the labor contract law will be a pitional law with historic significance. It will not only make Chinese workers more dignified and more decent, but also will "escort" the fundamental pformation of China's economic development mode.
