As a professional outdoor brand fabric technician in the past four years, I have analyzed the quality and functional indicators of outdoor sportswear fabrics (except for clothing).

The style is rough, the handle is stiff, and the performance requirements of the products are very high. It is suitable for use in sports function and harsh environment. It plays a protective role for people. (foreign brands are very strict about this requirement. The international authoritative testing institutions such as ITS SGS must be tested, and domestic brands do not have this detailed requirement).

The other is clothing made of outdoor casual fabrics, which is defined as outdoors, outdoor activities.

How to judge

The quality and function of a product are mainly reflected in its meaning.

The functions of fabric include the following tests: shrinkage, joint slip, tensile strength, tear strength, pH value, water resistance, water pressure resistance, humidity, Yu Lin, light, water stains, sweat stains, friction, machine washout and other physical performance indicators.

The processing technology of these outdoor fabrics is more complex than conventional fabrics. It involves many processing links, and has many functions such as waterproof, wind protection, moisture permeability, water pressure resistance, warmth retention, sweat and ultraviolet protection. Therefore, quality control is very important in the production process of textile fabrics.

First, outdoor sports fabrics: generally made of nylon, polyester and other chemical fiber fabrics after processing: waterproof, calendering, dry wet coating, laminated film and other processes, with waterproof, moisture permeability, breathability, water pressure, UV resistant and other functional fabrics.

1. Textile

(4) tear strength: American Standard Test ASTM D1424 according to the specific requirements of different varieties of fabrics (tear quality, affect the wear and durability of clothing).

(5) tensile strength: the American Standard Test ASTM D5034, according to the specific requirements of different varieties of fabrics (tensile strength is good or bad, affects the wear-resistance and wearability of clothing).

(6), joint slip: American Standard Test ASTM D434, according to the specific requirements of different varieties of fabrics (strength of joints, affect the slippage of garment joints).

(7) shrinkage rate: the American Standard Test AATCC-135 requires 3% (if the shrinkage rate exceeds 3%, it will affect the size of the clothes washed for several times).

(8), light fastness: American Standard Test AATCC-16E requirements: specific lamp tube 20 hours irradiation 4 level, 40 hours irradiation level 3 (this requirement is relatively high, white and sensitive color and nylon elastic cloth because of its own defects and technical difficulties, to achieve this indicator is difficult, mainly is to withstand sunlight, generally wear outdoor clothing in skiing, mountaineering outdoor sports to prevent sunlight is not easy to change color, if distress situation, its waking color, waiting for rescue convenience).

(9) color fastness to rubbing: American Standard Test AATCC-8 requirements: dry grinding grade 4, wet grinding 3 stage.

(this requires fabric fading).

(10), water stain fastness: American Standard Test AATCC-107 requirements: discoloration 4 grade, stained color 3.

(11) machine wash color fastness: the American Standard Test AATCC-61-2A request: discoloration 4 level, stained color 3 level.

(12) color fastness to perspiration: American Standard Test AATCC-15 requirements: color change grade 4, stained 3.

Remarks: AATCC and ASTM are all American test standards, JIS is Japanese test standard, ISO is European test standard, GB is Chinese standard, international standard is the most standard in the United States, and all are foreign major COLUMBIA (Columbia).
