Yu Gangang worked with relevant technicians to improve the wet strength of the fiber from 0.9CN/DTEX to 1.2DCN/DTEX, which met the requirements of textile, and improved the production method of bamboo pulp, making the production process more energy-saving, efficient and environmentally friendly. After the new bamboo pulp viscose fiber was successfully developed, Yu Ganggang gave this fiber a loud name - Tianzhu fiber. Later, as a new textile material, Tianzhu fiber gave birth to an industrial alliance.
The birth of bamboo fiber is just the beginning. Yu Ganggang knows that the promotion of new fiber is a long-term and complicated work. For this reason, he founded Shanghai Tianzhu Textile Fiber Co., Ltd., applied for the TENBRO bamboo fiber brand internationally, and applied for seven patents of bamboo fiber towels, socks, underwear, and sanitary materials, providing a legal basis for the development of bamboo fiber.
Any kind of new fiber can't go to the market without a difficult process. In the first few years, Yu Ganggang visited textile enterprises one by one, covering the whole country. In order to make the application of bamboo fiber more smooth, Yu Gangang timely collected the relevant problems in the use of fiber from enterprises, cooperated with relevant units, studied the technical process of the next process of bamboo fiber, and guided the production of enterprises. He actively introduces raw material suppliers and downstream customers to enterprises, links upstream and downstream enterprises, and expands market sales. He participated in the establishment of the Tianzhu Industry Alliance, a cooperative organization of upstream and downstream enterprises in China's bamboo fiber industry, and worked with many enterprises to develop bamboo fiber products.
As bamboo fiber matures, Yu Ganggang begins to try to make bamboo fiber go abroad. To enter the international market, the first thing to do is to improve the relevant standards. For this reason, he cooperated with Japanese customers and developed two inspection methods, namely, dyeing method and spectral analysis method, which realized the rapid "verification of bamboo fiber".
After a series of preparatory work in the early stage, bamboo fiber, as a national independent product, successfully went abroad and stood on the world stage competing with well-known products of multinational companies. In terms of overseas promotion of bamboo fiber, Yu Gangang never spares no effort. Bamboo fiber products were once frequent visitors at the annual PV exhibition in Paris, France, MODAIN in Milan, Italy, and the home textile exhibition in Frankfurt, Germany. The effort pays off. The overseas market of bamboo fiber products keeps increasing year after year, while Shanghai Tianzhu Textile Fiber Co., Ltd. has occupied more than 60% of the overseas market share, even 90% in peak years.
In 2011, Yu Ganggang was selected by Tianzhu Industry Alliance as one of the top ten contributors of Tianzhu Industry Alliance in the past ten years, "Since bamboo fiber socks don't smell and bamboo fiber towels don't harden after use, you have demonstrated this invention to human life. You are the first person to enter the bamboo fiber market, and you are also the first person to make the nation's original products go abroad." Yu Ganggang was evaluated in the award speech of the selection committee.
Having experienced the development and promotion of bamboo fiber, Yu Ganggang realized that China has a group of world-class experts and technicians in the field of fiber, who devote themselves to research and develop a number of outstanding and potential achievements. However, due to the lack of supporting promotion and improvement mechanisms in the market, these new achievements failed to reach ordinary people. A strong textile country must have a large number of intermediary promotion platforms with professional knowledge, professional services and professional customers, which is a major bottleneck for China's textile industry in transition.
"In recent years, the company has done the promotion of bamboo charcoal fiber, soybean fiber, corn fiber, ROSE fiber and other new fibers, and achieved good results, of which bamboo charcoal fiber is particularly prominent, with annual sales increasing by 30%~40%." Obviously, Yu Ganggang is confident in the market prospect of new fibers.
On the basis of summarizing bamboo fiber promotion experience, Yu Ganggang tried to build the company into a sales platform with technical services. He revealed that in addition to the new functional chemical fiber materials innovated and launched in China, the company also focused on the development and application of natural fibers such as flax, hanaf, ramie and jute. In the future, the company will focus on connecting upstream and downstream enterprises to cultivate markets for new fibers; Promote relevant solutions to technical problems in various processes such as new fiber spinning, weaving, dyeing and finishing, and promote the development of new products; Cooperate with relevant enterprises to avoid counterfeiting, prevent infringement, and protect the market development environment of new fibers.
"It is the central content of my personal plan for the next 10 years to promote the green concept of the company to the world together with China's low-carbon textile products," Yu Ganggang told reporters.
