Anta sports, China's largest sportswear producer, is considering a potential deal to buy Finland, according to sources quoted by Bloomberg.

The anonymous person familiar with the matter said Anta sports had discussed with the bank about possible takeover of amamin sports, which is based in Helsinki. The former has been considering various trading structures and may decide to purchase some assets of amamfin sports, not the whole company. Up to now, the market value of amamfin sports is about 3 billion 400 million euros (about 3 billion 900 million US dollars).
After the news came out, amamin sports shares rose 14%, and then suspended in the early morning trading of the Helsinki market.
Amamfin sports was founded in 1950. In 1974, it began to buy sports industry. When it bought the ice hockey stick and protection equipment manufacturer Koho-Tuote, the pace of the expansion of amamin in sports industry has not ceased. In 1977, the company was listed on the NASDAQ Nordic market. In 2004, the company officially changed its name to Amer Sports.
According to public information, in addition to tennis racket Wilson and mountaineering shoes Salomon, other brands of amamin sports include baseball bat Louisville Slugger, outdoor equipment, eBird and ski equipment Atomic.
According to the first quarter earnings report of amover sports, its sales grew by 1% to 623 million 800 thousand euros, net profit increased 40.5% to 24 million 600 thousand euros, pre tax profit increased to 40 million 400 thousand euros, gross margin was 46.8%.
Among them, sales in the Asia Pacific market increased by 9% to 95 million 900 thousand euros, which led all markets.
Outdoor sector sales were the best, recording 381 million 200 thousand euros.
At present, amamin sports has 3 business divisions, namely, outdoor products division, ball business unit and fitness products division.
According to the proportion of sales revenue in recent years, the outdoor business department accounts for about 60%, the ball business department accounts for 25%, and the fitness products department accounts for 13%. From the view of profit contribution, the outdoor product department is about 80% of the cash cows.
After the Beijing Olympics, Anta sports realized that there will be a new turning point in the Chinese sports industry. Too single brand structure or market will be quickly eliminated. At present, Anta sports, which has a market value of HK $100 billion, has been working hard to expand its overseas business and seek to acquire famous global brands. Zheng Jie, executive director and chief executive of the group, said in August this year that the company was looking for business partners and will enter the European market next year.
Ding Shizhong, chief executive, said at a press conference after the 2017 earnings report that there were two principles for the group to choose M & A targets: one is sports related industries, the other is decided by the specific circumstances of brands, consumers and professional sports market segments, and will not blindly make unreliable acquisitions.
