NOKIA Vice President Of The World: Sven Men Who Sing Hot Songs And Dance Hot
He was born in poverty and was pulled up by his mother. He grew up to be sensible and diligent, and earned many bachelor's and master's degrees in computer, marketing and management in the United States. He was known as the "ten elites" in China's IT field. He worked well in the years of NOKIA and China's market share and was far ahead of his peers. He was one of the four outstanding marketing personages in the world in 2006, and was rewarded by the headquarters.
He is Deng Yuanyun (DAVID TANG), vice president of NOKIA global and leader of sales and marketing in China.
This is a refined middle-aged man. With his outstanding contribution, his name has become the banner of this industry and is constantly being shown by his colleagues.
August 23rd, midsummer, Beijing.
When he sat in front of me again, I suddenly felt that if I became his competitor, I would probably have a headache for him.
If he likes to go, he must be a good chess player because he is very good at layout and change. If he is a pianist, his music must be very new.
We sat on the couch near the window and drank strong tea. We exchanged light and honest views on industry, management, life and family.
I find that although our living environment is different and their cultural backgrounds are different, our values are very similar.
This is the fifth time I have met him, and I have had third deep interviews with him face to face.
He remembered the first deep talk about a winter night in 2005. The social celebrities appreciation dinner before NOKIA 8800 mobile phone was held in a very quiet Royal courtyard in Hepingli, Beijing.
Many celebrities came in that day, including sports, literary and art circles, and journalism.
Sitting next to me is Deng Yuanyun. I remember when Cai Yun, the director of public relations of NOKIA, introduced him to me, I thought in my mind, "can this man who is gentle, modest and enthusiastic can pick up such a heavy load from NOKIA China?"
In my experience, people who are so modest and enthusiastic must be two extremes: they are ambitious and very capable; they either make the best use of their resources and try to hide their weaknesses.
It was 2006 when NOKIA met in Hangzhou. At the new product conference in HK, it was the same as this second.
On that day, he was dressed up as a cowboy in the face of hundreds of reporters across the country, carrying an electric guitar, dancing madly and singing vigorously, showing his determination to everyone with action and making the audience applaud.
He had a very fierce and persistent heart in the market.
It suddenly reminded me that this person, who joined NOKIA in 2004, assumed the important negotiation of integrating four joint ventures for an enterprise. In the more than 100 negotiations, he showed the wisdom and talent that surprised the industry.
Earlier this year, we had third in-depth exchanges.
It was in NOKIA's office building in Beijing, and I officially interviewed him as editor in chief.
In the warm winter sun, he regained his old style and enthusiasm, but on the other hand, there was a smoke that was not easy to be found by young reporters.
He told me a series of figures with his fingers on it, which made me feel very quickly that NOKIA's market share was rising rapidly and had already left its competitors behind.
He says he spends more than half a year pulling his suitcase all over the country and even running to a very remote town to check the market.
He told me in a very firm tone that NOKIA will continue to lead ahead and become the champion of the market.
Because NOKIA's practice is not copied by others, their execution power is unique.
I could feel the weight of what he said, because many people familiar with him told me that DAVID TANG was selling the cell phone on the front line many times, and even helping the promoters buy lunch boxes.
This time he brushed his image with data again.
He told me that NOKIA's market share has reached 38.2% in July, a record high.
When Deng disclosed this number to me, his face was always full of a proud smile.
I asked him, what's the next big move after such a remarkable achievement?
Colleagues in the industry are very concerned about your every move.
He said that the next step is to help agents across the country to improve management and marketing levels, and further help them improve themselves theoretically.
It is a strategy and a vision to teach people to fish and teach people to fish.
