Hangzhou Chefs Dominate The UN Kitchen

The "United Nations Chinese food festival" jointly sponsored by the permanent mission of China to the United Nations and the Hangzhou Municipal People's government opened in New York on October 20th afternoon.

Tong Guili, vice mayor of Hangzhou Municipal People's government, opened the 12 day "United Nations China Food Festival", which was dominated by Hangzhou chefs in a brilliant English speech.

This food festival is aimed at promoting the Chinese cuisine culture, strengthening the friendship between Hangzhou and the peoples of the world, strengthening the cultural and economic exchanges between Hangzhou and the rest of the world, promoting common development and achieving common prosperity.

This "UN China Food Festival" is the first time that Chinese cuisine has entered the United Nations.

As a result, Hangzhou's Restaurant elites, including Hu Zhongying, Wang Renxiao and other gentry figures, came from the traditional dishes to all kinds of snacks, all of which showed the charming voice of Hangzhou cuisine. Nearly 400 diplomatic envoys and diplomats attended the opening ceremony. Almost all dishes were swept away. The manager of the catering Department of United Nations Headquarters said that there had never been such a situation before many food festivals, including the Japanese food festival held recently. The Canadian permanent ambassador to the United Nations said many countries and cities demonstrated themselves on this stage, but from tonight's situation, they can not compare with Hangzhou.
