Kang Canhua said that the school's make-up rate is between 4% and 6% per semester, and the excellent rate is below 20%, which is in line with normal distribution.

He believes that the failure rate of students is related to the structure of students' sources, for example, students who are promoted to higher grades fail more than regular undergraduates.

There are two basic reasons why students fail to pass examinations. One is that the learning attitude is not correct, the learning purpose is not clear, and the self-discipline is not enough; two, because students' learning ability is not enough, they can not adapt well to the University's study, but still fail.

Kang Canhua introduced that dozens of students failed to complete the required credits and were dropped out of school every year. Now, the make-up examination is arranged before the formal start of the semester, giving students a chance to get credit. If they can pass the examination in the make-up examination, they will not be dropped out of school this semester.
