Under the influence of macroeconomic environment, domestic and international market demand has obviously weakened. The economic growth and deceleration trend of textile and garment industry is still continuing. The growth rate of major economic indicators has decreased significantly compared with the same period last year, and the decline of exports and profits is particularly serious.

Domestic and foreign cotton price difference continues to increase, and the unreasonable circulation system has a greater negative impact on the industry.

The cost of labor and other factors of production continues to rise, compressing the profit margins of enterprises, causing some small and medium-sized enterprises to survive.

The external environment is not optimistic. The contradictions existing in the development of the industry still exist. The problems such as the obvious division of benefits in the business operation, the imbalance in the upstream and downstream benefits of the industrial chain, the unbalanced development of the region, and the uneven development of enterprises according to the ownership system also cause a sharp decline in the overall economic growth of the industry.

The United Nations predicts that by the year 2050, the total amount of fiber used will be 2.5 billion tons, and the amount of industrial fiber will be 1.7 billion tons, accounting for 68% of the total.
