One of the highlights of the new regulations is the substantial extension of the reward holidays for legal childbirth, that is, the extension from the original 30 days to 80 days, thereby increasing the maternity leave for female workers from 128 days to 178 days. The situation of difficult labor such as caesarean section can be increased by 30 days. According to the reporters, the provinces that have revised the family planning regulations have found that the basic day of maternity leave is the longest, and 208 days in Guangdong are the longest.

    The law of the People's Republic of China on population and family planning clearly stipulates that couples who have children born in accordance with laws and regulations may receive rewards or other welfare benefits for prolonging maternity leave.

    Therefore, in the revision of the local family planning ordinance, all places have increased the incentive holidays on the basis of 98 days' maternity leave, at least 30 days.

    Last December 30th, the Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial People's Congress adopted the newly revised regulations on population and family planning of Guangdong province.

    Guangdong has become the first province in the country to complete the revised family planning regulations.

    Last year's revised Family Planning Ordinance stipulates that "the husband and wife who enjoy compliance with laws and regulations provide children with thirty days' incentive leave".

    According to this regulation, the female workers in Guangdong province have a maternity leave for at least 128 days, including 98 days' fixed vacation and 30 days' reward. The situation of caesarean birth and other dystocia can be increased by 30 days, or 158 days.

    The Guangdong revised the family planning ordinance again.

    The amendment said that in order to improve the level of care for new born babies, we should further encourage the masses to actively implement the basic national policy of family planning. The new amendment bill will extend female employees' incentive leave to children born in laws and regulations from 30 days to 80 days.

    That is to say, Guangdong women workers can enjoy 98 days +80 days of maternity leave, 178 days of maternity leave, cesarean section can enjoy 98 days +80 days reward +30 days, a total of 208 days of maternity leave.

    According to the combing of reporters, up to now, except Tibet and Xinjiang, 29 provinces of the whole country have completed the revision of the Family Planning Ordinance. Most provinces have increased the number of maternity leave for women workers to varying degrees.

    The maternity leave of these 29 provinces can be roughly divided into 128 days, 158 days, 180 days and more than three.

    The maximum number of female workers in Guangdong is 208 days, with the longest period of maternity leave in these provinces.

    After the revision of the family planning ordinance, 29 provinces were cancelled.

    The method of calculating the maternity leave is adjusted to "98 days of the national holidays and the bonus of maternity awards".

    At present, the maternity leave awards in different provinces range from 30 days to 3 months, and the maternity leave for women workers can be varied from 128 days to 190 days.

    Specifically, Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Chongqing, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Hubei and other 7 provinces have a maternity leave of 128 days, that is, 98 days +30 days.

    Both Henan and Hainan have clearly increased their maternity leave by 3 months in addition to the 98 Day holidays stipulated by the state in the new birth control ordinance, which means that local women workers can enjoy 190 days' maternity leave at most.

    In addition, Heilongjiang and Gansu defined the total number of days of maternity leave as 180 days.

    According to the combing of reporters, the pattern of "98 days +60 days" is the mainstream in the days of maternity leave in every province, and the 14 days in Jilin, Hebei and Sichuan provinces are all 158 days.

    After the revision of the Guangdong Family Planning Ordinance, the maximum number of maternity leave for women workers is 208 days, which is 80 days longer than 128 days in some provinces.

    In the revision of the family planning ordinance in 29 provinces, Beijing, Jilin and Chongqing also provided flexible rules for the number of maternity leave days, which can be extended by the consent or approval of the female staff and workers.

    Beijing stipulates that female workers can increase their vacations by 1 to 3 months with the consent of their offices, enterprises, institutions, social organizations and other organizations.

    Jilin stipulates that, except for the 158 Day holiday, the female staff and workers can extend the maternity leave to one year by applying for their own application and the consent of the unit.

    Chongqing stipulates that in addition to 128 days' holiday, female workers can continue to leave their children until the age of one year after the expiration of their maternity leave.

    Therefore, theoretically, the maternity leave in Chongqing can take the longest time.

    The Guangdong maternity leave adjustment for at least 178 days, the longest 208 days, also attracted some netizens worry, think this is the "unemployment rhythm", will make the unit more and more reluctant to recruit female employees, increase the difficulty of women, especially female college students employment.

    Some executives admit that women tend to have too long maternity leave and tend to recruit men.

    This problem is difficult to solve at present.
