Soochow University Purple Ching Academy Set Up To Explore The "New Engineering" Textile Talents Training Mode
In order to inherit and carry forward the centenary details of Su Da textile discipline, and lay stress on the layout of "new engineering" in the future, focus on the comprehensive reform of "three all-round education", and actively explore the practice of a new talent training mode of academy system, and speed up the construction of "double first class". Yesterday, the purple College of Soochow University was officially set up.
The purple academy is named after "Purple emperor" to commemorate Zheng Bijiang's important contribution to China's silk business and education. Zheng Bijiang, Zi Zi Qing, former president of Suzhou Silk Institute of technology, one of the founders of Su Da textile and clothing engineering college, and a famous modern silk educator and revolutionist, is known as "China's silk industry leader."
According to the introduction, the purple Ching academy has implemented the whole staff training mode, bringing all the undergraduates of the textile and clothing engineering institute into the Academy. Facing the training of textile professionals in the context of "new engineering", the academy has carried out "upgrading and upgrading" the traditional professional compulsory courses in accordance with the idea of "school enterprise cooperation, production and teaching coordination and integration of science and education" in the training programs and curriculum settings. It has set up four modules: general education courses, specialized basic courses, high-end textile courses and innovative practice courses.
Since 2011, Jiangsu University has been trying out the "academy system" to explore the training mode of outstanding talents. Some established Jing Wen college and Tang Wen Zhi college are located in the second classroom and the first classroom. "Unlike the other two academies, the purple academy is trying to build a new collaborative education mechanism that integrates the first class with the second classroom." Pan Zhijuan, Dean of the school of textiles and clothing engineering, said that in the teaching of specialized courses as the first class, the Academy introduced small class, case study and seminar teaching, and based on the training needs of textile and garment engineering talents, explored and practising the "three digit" talent training mode of "high work into the classroom, teachers and students into the workshop, fruit into the market". The second classroom further strengthens the cultivation of students' practical and innovative ability. It is guided by the tutors and business mentors of the school, and runs through the four practical years of scientific and technological innovation practice, product innovation design, fashion creative practice, innovation and entrepreneurship plan and other practical teaching links.
Zi Qing academy explores the practice of "three all-round education", implements the basic task of Li De Shu, and implements the plan of undergraduate growth and companionship. The student management service mode of academies also embodies the concept of student centred. The sailing center, business center, growth center and development center have been set up to provide students with perfect growth and service.
