At present, Sichuan silk industry is speeding up the innovation of traditional thinking mode, design concept and production mode, gradually developing diversified applicable consumer goods and original products, and promoting the cross-border integration and development of silk culture and tourism, catering, hotel and other industries. During this period, mulberry leaf tea, mulberry wine, mulberry fungus and other food and drink products have become a new hot spot of leisure consumption. The silk towns, museums and rural tourism created by the company have become new tourist attractions for cultural and tourism consumption. A number of platform economy, online marketing and network live broadcasting have become new industry development models.

Focusing on the Jinsha River, Jialing River and other river basins, Sichuan plans to build 30 key sericulture counties, build three cocoon and silk industrial belts in Panxi, southern Sichuan and central and Northern Sichuan, vigorously carry out the construction of sericulture demonstration bases, and build a number of modern agricultural parks and characteristic agricultural products advantage areas based on sericulture bases in Liangshan, Guang'an, Nanchong and Mianyang. At present, Sichuan Province has successively built one five-star modern agricultural park, two four-star and two three-star level, and one national level and six provincial-level advantageous areas of characteristic agricultural products. The cocoon output of 30 key sericulture counties accounts for 80% of the province, and the output value of the three major cocoon and silk industry belts exceeds 90% of the province.
