    How To Effectively Encourage Teamwork?

    Drucker's death is regrettable -- but he made the last and most important decision in his old age: he gave his last 16 months to Ed Ssha M, the legendary woman who became the leader of the American management consulting field because of the legend of McKinsey, helping to organize his last words. This authorization is the last management of the master's life. Its achievements became Drucker's "fortieth book", and the only book not written by himself personally. This is management, with others' cooperation to complete their own wishes.


    But it is not just the masters who focus on team management. We know that in the United States, teams have been recognized in various organizations. A survey was conducted not long ago, and 80% of Fortune 500 companies had half or more employees working in teams. In addition, 68% of small manufacturing enterprises in the United States adopt team approach in their production management.


    We often see teams in all kinds of management books, websites, magazines and newspapers. What are the teams? What is the concept of team? The author thinks that "team" is a group composed of two or more than two people, whose members have dynamic relations to some extent. Generally speaking, "team" has the following characteristics: 1, the team must have at least two members; 2, the size of the team must be limited to ensure that all members are fully aware of each other and influence each other; 3, the minimum level of interdependence between team members is that a member's decision-making and behavior will be valued by others in the team; 4, the team has certain continuity in time: the relationship among its members is a continuation of history or a continuation to the expected future; 5, in the team, the collective performance results are far higher than the sum of each person's contribution.


    There are several different types of teams. There are mainly four typical teams: 1, problem-solving teams: 5 to 12 employees from the same department, who spend a few hours together each week to explore how to improve work quality, efficiency or improve the working environment; and 2, self management teams: 10-15 members perform their tasks assigned by their superiors; 3, multi-functional teams: a team composed of people from the same technical level but different working fields to complete a task; 4, virtual teams: the members of the team are scattered, but through computer technology, they can accomplish certain tasks together.


    As we all know, a collaborative whole consisting of several parts which are interrelated and interrelated, after optimization design, the overall function can be greater than the sum of parts and produce the effect of l+l>2. Tan Xiaofang, a lecturer in corporate training, found out in the course of training and research that although most managers have openly claimed teamwork, there are few people who really realize teamwork in enterprises. On the contrary, many people consciously and unconsciously create intrigue and interdepartmental environment in the enterprise. If there are many benefits of teamwork, but it is difficult to achieve that, then there are several ways to encourage teamwork.


    The first way is to enhance your sense of teamwork. For example, team members are proud of being a team member. If the team members feel that we are in the same boat or we share the same fate, it will be very beneficial to team work.


    The second way is to let every team member realize that their collaboration and contribution are crucial to team success. In other words, without their contributions, the team will fail.


    The third method allows each team member's contribution to be measurable, and everyone can see clearly who has done anything, and each member is responsible for his behavior.


    The fourth point is to increase the opportunity of face-to-face communication between members, so that everyone can understand what is important for the team and what the results of cooperation and non cooperation are.


    Finally, an atmosphere of competition can be established between teams to promote cooperation among team members, or create a challenge from outside the team, so that team members must cooperate with each other to defeat it.
