暫緩結婚的對象：各種傳染病的規定隔離期、慢性病的活動期，心、肝、腎、肺、腦等重要臟器的功能代償不全時，如肝炎、肺結核在活動期，腎炎未治愈穩定等，都應暫緩結婚。生殖器官畸形，可矯治的，需待矯正后再結婚。患有嚴重遺傳性疾病不宜生育的，男女雙方應接受醫生的意見，采取長效避孕措施或者結扎手術后，才可結婚。但《婚姻法》規定禁止結婚的除外。
