At the end of the year, everyone is busy now. But with so many representatives attending today's meeting, we really feel the concern about the development of the industry. We also feel your support for the work of the Secretariat of the association. Thank you here.
I am here today to represent the five Council of the association to report to the conference on the work of the China clothing association this year. My report has two aspects. One is to inform you about the operation of the industry, and the other is the related work of our association secretariat.
In 2012, it should be said that the overall development of China's garment industry is facing great difficulties and pressures.
We are depressed by external demand, domestic demand is slowing down, and the cost of production factors continues to rise.
The indicators of export, production, domestic sales and investment all have a very obvious slowing down trend than the previous year. Especially, the decline of our efficiency is very obvious. The industry is running in a more severe situation.
Let's take a look at a few indicators, one is the export, let's look at this chart, the blue is the change of our amount, and the red is the change of our export volume.
It should be said that the trend of our clothing export decline this year is very obvious. The red line in the middle is from last year's last year. In fact, from September last year, the number of Chinese clothing exports increased to a negative level in September this year. The amount of exports has increased from 1 to September this year, and only 1 to 3 five points have increased slightly. The slight increase has been raised to 2.5, but the overall decline compared with last year is very obvious.
Two reasons, one is the downturn in the international market, especially in the European market and the European market. We should look at the statistical data. It should be said that since the second half of last year, the European clothing retail market has basically been hovering between the positive and negative numbers, from 1 to September, with a negative growth of 14.16 and a downward pull of 4 percentage points. On the other hand, our domestic factor cost continues to improve.
Many of our orders are pferred to these emerging market economies in Southeast Asia. The overall export this year is such a situation that we can see the difficulties and difficulties of our export oriented enterprises, especially small and medium-sized enterprises this year.
Let's take a look at the domestic market and domestic sales. These two curves are the enterprises of the National Bureau of statistics.

In addition, production and investment are slowing down.
In terms of efficiency, this year, as a whole, because of the continuous rise of our cost, including the high price of cotton, especially the cost of our business links, we have continued to rise. The overall efficiency of the enterprises has dropped and the growth space has been narrowed. We can see very clearly that compared with last year, our profit growth rate has dropped significantly.
The sales revenue of enterprises was 13% at the beginning of the year, and only 10% in September. The profit margin of our industry also dropped from 6% at the beginning of the year to 5.09% in September.
So overall, the decline in industry efficiency is very obvious. This is still the situation of enterprises, and a large number of small and medium-sized enterprises are still worse.
We have made a merger of the main indicators mentioned above. We can see from the curves and graphs that this year's overall industry situation is more than that of last year. This year's situation is extending. This year, we can see the grim situation of the industry.
This year, our industry faces such a situation and situation. I assume that there are reasons for the big environment, the profound impact of the international and domestic environment, the deep impact of the international financial crisis, the downturn in the market, including the pformation and development of China's economy, and the adjustment of the speed of China's growth from a high speed to a medium speed. The adjustment of the growth rate in China will bring certain difficulties and pressures. But I think that when we look at such a curve, the most important thing is not the impact of the change of the environment on us, but the revelation from the industry itself to the bottom.
China's garment industry has undergone rapid development over the past 30 years since reform and opening up. Today, the comparative advantage of our entire industry has been greatly changed.
The international and domestic market environment, conditions and needs we face should also be changed greatly.
On the one hand, in the international market, because of the rigid growth of our factor cost, we are weakening in the international market's net advantage compared with the emerging market economies.
We made a comparison. We made a comparative analysis of the products exported under US $5 a month. We found that in September this year, the amount decreased by 10 points over September of last year, which has decreased by 5 points from the quantity. That is to say, the products with added value are weakening now, and on the whole, we are not increasing in quantity in the international market.
The demand of the domestic market has been far different. The pursuit of design, function and healthy lifestyle of consumers is the upgrading of consumption.
Consumption upgrading does not mean that consumers buy more expensive clothing products. From the perspective of consumer demand, they look for products with the best price performance and their lifestyle.
So I think, that is to say, we really face the challenges brought by domestic consumption changes. In addition, at the same time, a large number of international brands are pouring into the Chinese market. Our market competition is intensifying. Our Chinese independent brands have indeed been hit in the market. The changes in the two markets in the international market and the changes in some elements of our industry have made our industry go to a certain stage of change. This is what the national "12th Five-Year" and our industry put forward.
On the one hand, we should seek new orientation in the international market, how to walk from the low end to the high end, and how to meet the needs of the people in the face of domestic demand, and adapt to such a period as soon as possible in the industrial form.
Similarly, in the face of a sluggish market, the parent company of Spain's ZARA shows that its turnover has increased by 17% and its net profit has increased by 32%.
This year, our industry is going to be closed to stores and businesses. Our industry should reflect on it collectively. So when the industry comes to a very critical time to change the way of development, how does our industry go from quantity to value, from scale to content, from situation to origin?
Our entire industry is based on a well built industry. How can we update and pform, how to go up and go up? This is what we call industrial pformation and upgrading. I think all these years are saying, but now it is indeed a historic period, and it is not always urgent.
If the rapid development of China's economy in the past 30 years has taken place on the plains, then our industry should say that we should go mountain climbing. If we climb mountains and climb mountains, we need a healthy body and equipment. How to play our intrinsic and endogenous driving force to build our new advantages is particularly worth pondering. So this is why we set the theme of the Chinese clothing Convention as an endogenous driving force and a new advantage in this year.
The five vice presidents will release their annual views around this topic. The president will give us some explanations and instructions, including the parallel meetings of these two days.
Comrade Hu Jintao's speech in the eighteen major reports is very meaningful for guiding our industry. "Adapting to the changes in the situation at home and abroad and forming a new way of development, we must place our foothold on manufacturing efficiency."
We say that the industry is developing in difficulties this year, and it is also a difficult development. However, we are faced with such a huge potential market that China can give infinite imagination. Our enterprises should indeed be full of confidence in the future of China's market.
To share a sentence, I think it is very reasonable. No matter what difficulties we encounter, the situation is good or bad, we should have such an attitude that the whole world is looking at the Chinese market.
The goal of doubling brings us market space. The core is how we do it. Great enterprises and excellent enterprises are born at this time.

This year, the focal point of the clothing association's secretariat is based on pformation and upgrading. We strive to do something more pragmatic and close to the needs of our enterprises.
The Secretariat, including our Specialized Committee and the Council, is also our six Specialized Committee Federation.
Then I will give you a report from six aspects, one is our industry research and information service work. For the association, information service is our most basic and most important work. So this year, we should say that we have made great efforts in the analysis of the operation of the industry and are concerned about the trend of the international economic market.
Through the information network of our industrial clusters and enterprises, we also do some special research on important issues of concern.
The work of industrial research is also interacted and integrated with the work of our information service. The website of the association and the clothing trade magazine of the association interact with each other, and the website collects, collects and summarizes valuable information of the relevant industries, including supporting resources, and at the same time, our magazine has a report on the topic and some important thematic reports closely related to our industry.
So I am here to include this website, including our magazine, and our annual annual report, to show you here. I would like to point out that the website of the association, our magazine, the governing unit and the member enterprises can pay close attention to it and hope that the information we provide can help everyone.

The second aspect is scientific and technological work and quality work.
Faced with such a situation of rising cost, our technology should focus on the promotion of advanced manufacturing technology, the improvement of production efficiency and the promotion of information technology as the focus of our scientific and technological work this year.
This year we launched the clothing science and technology activities, to our industry to set up a group of efforts to do promotion, and do some demonstration of the promotion of activities.
The Department is a very important part of the next pformation and upgrading of the industry, so we are a very important part of the technical work of the association in the promotion of advanced technology manufacturing and advanced production mode.
Two standards for professional clothing.
In addition, it is our quality work and quality is our life. Every year, our staff have to take considerable time to do the sampling work with our national quality inspection department, which is a job inside us.
The core is to help promote the quality of our enterprises, attach importance to quality work and improve this aspect.
This year has also participated in many national standard revisions, so this is our related conference, a technological journey.
Brand work and brand work are also the top priority of our association. We have held the annual awards of Chinese clothing brands for eight years. On the one hand, we adhere to the principles of market inspection and increase the social promotion of our own brands.
On the other hand, we dig out the achievements of independent brands every year, so our understanding of the construction of our own brand system is constantly deepened, and it also promotes the mutual learning and reference between our brand enterprises.
This is our annual award.
The clothing forum, the 17 clothing forum, is the discussion of brand building.
Many of our entrepreneurs are involved in this clothing forum. We are also a forum for 17 years. Many experts and scholars come to this forum to give you more energy to think about our brand building.
In other words, we organized some research activities on brand development this year. I think this year, especially in June, we held a seminar on brand development in the white-collar villa. We also had a lot of harvest. We proposed to practice internal strength and muscle training.
We focus on product development, brand and channel quality.
I remember the 16 words we extracted at that time, we should make good products, do branding, do high value and make long businesses.
I think it is a very important experience of our last seminar. I said this later in many other meetings. I think it is true that in the face of such a situation, we are very rational about the way to build our brand next.
The fourth aspect is our market development work. It is very clear that these two exhibitions and fashion fairs have been held for 20 sessions.
I think the development direction of the future fair is not only to become a platform for commerce and trade, especially in the process of building a powerful country in our industry, but also like a comprehensive clothing exhibition. It should become the integration center of industry development resources and the platform of industry chain cooperation.
The theme of next year's exposition is calendar.
The trend brand exhibition not only hopes to provide them with a market access through this platform, but also enables us to locate the brand of the young consumer groups through this new way of operation, so that we can communicate in such a platform and young consumers, in terms of consumption concept, culture, lifestyle and so on. I think this activity is not entirely a traditional exhibition, but more like a party, more like our brand and consumer goods, a new form of activity integration, so here I hope that young brands in our industry will be able to take part in this brand exhibition activity after 80 or 90's brands. This activity allows us all to work together to build a platform for the future. Besides, let's talk about a new exhibition.
The fifth aspect is industrial chain collaboration.
The synergy innovation of upstream and downstream industry chain must be a very important support for the construction of our industry power.
Du often tells us that our clothing is very good because our fabrics are imported, and the development of upstream needs to be intensified. These years have indeed been greatly improved, but there is still a gap.
But from another point of view, in fact, our clothing design is not just clothing itself, it is actually a series of design with upstream fabric design, including color, so I think our clothing enterprises really pay attention to the development of upstream enterprises. At the same time, we should increase the communication and cooperation between upstream enterprises and accessories enterprises through joint channels, and jointly develop collaborative development to form our integrated innovation capability.
So I made a special advertisement this time, and we launched ten big suppliers, all of which are related to our clothing brand development, and we recommend them to cooperate with our clothing enterprises. As you can see, our docking space activities will be done for the first time this year. We really hope to promote the collaboration between our enterprises and upstream enterprises. Our suppliers, our manufacturers, including our industrial cluster manufacturers, cherish this opportunity very much. So many important enterprises have such an opportunity to promote, so I hope you will have time to see our docking space.

The sixth aspect is the work of international exchange and cooperation.
Indeed, in the face of our entire industry's next stage of development and the new era of international resource allocation, the association is also constantly strengthening its exchanges with international trade associations and organizations.
I would like to mention that in 2012 and the Italy Fashion Association's summit in Milan, we have more than 20 outstanding Chinese entrepreneurs to attend the meeting. We are facing the first-class clothing brand, but our entrepreneurs at this meeting showed the development of our brand in China, and fully embody our confidence and exchange with them to seek more substantive cooperation.
