    Focus on solving problems

    勇于毛遂自薦  一個好的雇員只會提建議是不夠的,他有責任以自己的成就、才干、技能和潛力來吸引老板,因此,只要自己有能力,你可以大膽自薦,這樣老板不會小看你。  B君是一位年輕雇員,他要求見我,他信心十足地對我說:“先生,不謙虛地說,我覺得自己有能力承擔更大的責任,現(xiàn)在,我一切都準備好了。”  他的話言簡意賅,還恰到好處,他強調(diào)自己愿意承擔更多的工作,這也正是老板所期待的。正是借助這種方法,B君后來一步步地升到公司副總裁的職位,現(xiàn)在他有了自己的公司。  你肯定聽說過“機會只有一次”的格言,別信它,機會在不斷出現(xiàn),問題是它瞬間即逝。除非你確實知道自己力所不及,否則,就應(yīng)該樂意去承擔更多的責任,相信自己會得心應(yīng)手,不要期待事情會變得完美無缺。  你可能心里很害怕,暗自說:“我真的不行,現(xiàn)在都已經(jīng)很吃力了,怎么還能承擔新任務(wù)呢。”對于那些將要承擔新任務(wù)的人來說,有這種想法很正常。試想,只要你會游泳,壯膽跳進水里,兩腿狗刨式地蹬水,你很快就能學(xué)會蛙泳。

    廣交良友  我不再重復(fù)強調(diào)搞好同事關(guān)系的重要性,最好的辦法是廣交朋友,別把關(guān)系限制在與自己層次相當?shù)耐轮g,如果你這樣做,表明你已形成偏見,就是把管理人員當一派,把雇員當另一派。同時盡可能少發(fā)牢騷,牢騷只會消磨意志。即使真有怨言,也最好一次性發(fā)泄完畢,不要整天不停地嘮叨,否則只會令自己終日悶悶不樂。  你不必為提升而變成工作狂,但也不要把工作時間限定在“朝九晚五”的框子里。有時,如果老板有很多事,他希望雇員能全力以赴,夜以繼日。“一日之計在于晨”,老板希望雇員每天早晨能精力充沛地投入工作,以完成當天的任務(wù)。
